General Information

I have tried many Red Dawn Energy products, which admittedly are hit or miss. Sometimes, I rank them a bit higher than others. This is one of their newer products, focusing on “brain fuel” and “stamina.”  It is supposed to be a mixed berry flavor (although I beg to differ lol). Their sales page states that it will help you “feel the fire again” and “leave your limitations face down in the dirt.”  The label is fairly easy to read and has a “5 hour energy drink” feel to it. While there are a few ingredients which absolutely could, reasonable affect the brain and cognitive performance, I believe this product is mostly relying on caffeine to do the job.  It was a bit hard to open, and smelled a bit foul, but I still decided to give it a shot.

Administration

The serving size is one bottle, which is 2 ounces.  This means you are meant to drink the entire contents of the bottle at once. I drank two of these, at the same time, for a total of 4 ounces after eating 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and taking a zantac (pizza gives Fat Sam acid reflux these days!). I then consumed a third bottle after one hour, since I’m a bigger guy now a days as well.

Effects / Experience

Besides some light jitters, I did not experience any desirable effects from this product. The jitters came after taking the third bottle, proposing one would have to consume far more than the serving size to feel anything.  This effect though, as not desirable and did not lead to any increase in workload or productivity.  In fact, the opposite occurred: I had a massive headache, did absolutely no work, and then crashed shortly afterwards.  I did try this product once more, taking only one shot, a week later on an empty stomach and still surfaced no positive or desirable effects.

Final Notes

While Red Dawn Energy has been around for more than a decade, and I have tried many of their products, this is not a product I can recommend. I currently give this product a one star Fat Sammy rating. Additionally, it tasted terrible, and left an aftertaste I could not get out of my mouth even with the most vigorous of brushing.  The only positive thing I can say about it, are the B vitamins which are supposed to contribute to energy in general.  Unfortunately, too much caffeine and a lack of other positive ingredients most certainly counteracted any favorable effect the B vitamins would have had! I am a bit disappointed, but based upon the price, I really shouldn’t be…as you always get what you pay for!

I purchased these Delta 8 THC “Toasted Flakes” cereal bars from a headshop while out of state on vacation in Florida.  There were a few other options, including a knock off Apple Jacks which I also purchased.  They were expensive, and the box was flamboyant.  The boxes look exactly like the cereal boxes, except they boast “Delta 8 Mile High Cure,” “Hemp derived,” and “Warning 18+.”   There is a supplement facts panel, a large number of ingredients, and a lot of warnings on the back of the box.  Some of the warnings include that the product is for 21+ adults (despite the front of the box warning it is for 18+ only), not to operate heavy machinery, and that the product is in compliance with the 2018 farm bill or Agriculture Improvement Act.  It also states the product contains less than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis.

Product Administration

The supplement facts panel states there is only 1 serving per container and that it contains 150 calories worth of cereal bars.  There is a giant list of ingredients, mostly normal, cereal-bar related ingredients.  Strangely, Delta 8 nor THC (nor even Hemp) is listed in the ingredients section.  I am partly wondering if I just bought 150 calories of cereal bar shoved in a flashy Delta 8 box.

Product Effects

I did not experience any effects from this Delta 8 THC product, and I consumed it all as quickly as possible on an empty stomach.  I did not get any relaxation benefits. I did not get any “CBD-like”high, and I did not get any other type of benefit.  I did, however, get an upset stomach about 30 minutes after consuming these “cereal bars.”  They did not even taste good!

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, the Toasted Flakes Delta 8 THC cereal bars are not all that they appear to be. They are massively overpriced and small in quantity. They are completely ineffective. While the packaging is fancy, the product simply isn’t worth the money. To top it all off, the manufacturer “MHC” is super anonymous and extremely shady.  I cannot by any means suggest this product to anyone. It is extremely unreliable and only cashing in on the fake “Delta 8” fad. It is probably Chinese made, despite being clearly marked as “made in the USA,” as there is no way frosted flakes would allow this brand to utilize their “Tony the Tiger” graphic, a clear misrepresentation and trademark violation.

Curevana seems to be a CBD-oriented company, although they have lately been pushing their Delta THC variants throughout local headshops.  I picked up this Delta 10 THC flower labeled “Junglato” for 9.89 at my favorite headshop.  The product claims it is a sativa blend, although, I cannot verify that by any means. There is a small icon on the container that claims it is lab tested, although I cannot confirm that fact either. Supposedly, there are 17.5 % total cannabinoids in the container. The regular FDA disclaimers are posted in tiny font, as well as the declaration the product is for 21+ adults only.  There is an attempt to educate consumers on Delta THC variants, that they are derivatives from the Hemp plant, making the product “entirely legal.”

Product Administration

There is a lot of tiny font on the side of the Delta 10 container, and although the company markets this product as Delta 10 variant, it is also revealed in the ingredients section to contain Delta 8 THC distillate as well. As if that weren’t bad enough, it also brings up Delta 9, stating the common Delta disclaimer that the product contains less than 0.3 percent D9 THC.  I smoked through 2 full bowls of this flower (ground up) in roughly 30 minutes time.  A friend of mine also smoked through two bowls of his own in the same time frame.

Product Effects

After smoking through two full bowls of their Delta 10 flower, Curevana left me completely unimpressed.  I would call the actual taste disgusting, like smoking an old, bitter, dated weed.  I was hoping to consume some pizza after my smoke, but all I felt was sick instead.  My friend shared the same experience: left sick with no appetite.  The smell was also awful after we were finished, even ruining our bowls.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately this was one of the worse products I have ever tried. The flower (or bud) was extremely small, felt very old and brittle, and had even lost its marijuana-like smell.  It was not worth even a quarter of the price, and I felt extremely ripped off. This is the second Curevana product I have tried, and I was disappointed both times.  Albeit, I have yet to try any of their CBD products, I believe both Delta variants and CBD alike to be a scam and a fad.  I cannot recommend Curevana at this time and feel they are ripping people off with their fake weed.

The “Super K Extra Strong” liquid kratom extract came in a simple “five hour energy”-esque container.  The bottle was white with a cheap-looking purple wrapper that offered very little information about the company or the product.  The seal on the top of the bottle (after it was unscrewed) seemed very subpar and had already begun leaking.  The smell of the kratom inside was rancid.  Still, I chose to give this product an authentic, unbiased opportunity to impress good ole’ Fat Sammy.

Product Administration

There were no supplement facts or information on the bottle, besides a warning to shake well and that there were “6 parts to the bottle” – which I presume means 6 servings. I chose to consume half the bottle to start, and waited a bit before consuming the other half.  I had a few candy bars (1 snickers, 2 peanut butter cups, and 1 “payday” candy bar). I also had a pepsi cola.  This kratom extract tasted disgusting and was most particularly a difficult-to-handle aftertaste.

Product Effects

I began to feel the effects of this liquid kratom about 15-20 minutes after consuming half the bottle. The effects were weak. I did not notice any itchiness like I usually get with the good kratom extracts. I also did not notice much peppiness. But I did have a slight energy boost.  Taking the other portion of the kratom picked the energy up even higher.  But it was not much more than an energy drink or a few cups of coffee.  At least there were no negative effects.

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, I do not feel that Super K Liquid Extract was worth the money. I feel it was grossly overpriced for the vastly underperforming effects.  This liquid kratom solution was akin to drinking a few 5 hour energy drinks, although there was no crash (which is one of the only positive things I can say about it).  Ultimately, the Super K Liquid Kratom Extract only earns a 1 star Fat Sammy review, partly because of the poor effects and partly because of the high price.  I do not recommend this product and would not purchase it again.  This all explains why the bottle looked like it was in the head shop for years.

Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom is one of the shadiest products I have seen in a long time.  This type of business used to be common back in the 90s and early 2000s, when the internet was less dominant in our culture.  Today, however, it is almost unheard of to have no website, no company name printed on a bottle, and no real information about the product itself.  Especially in the supplement and kratom industry.  This product’s label is so hard to read, most people would struggle to make out anything other than the name of the product itself (Ultimate Shot Gold).  Hilariously, the product name is not enough to identify the contents.  Regardless of the illegibility of the label, I was able to determine the product was a kratom extract, with (supposedly) no other ingredients.  While it claims it was “made in the USA,” I somehow find that extremely hard to believe. Still, I decided to give this product the benefit of the doubt, as I have seen it in more than one headshop/gas station.

Product Administration

The tiniest, almost impossible to read supplement facts panel describe a serving size as 7.5 ml, or one half of the bottle. I decided to take only half, as the bottle described, mostly due to the shady, way the bottle is marketed (with no mention of any company or website to learn more information). There are, however, some typical FDA disclaimers (if you can read them).  And the rest of the instructions are to shake well and “not to consume on an empty stomach.”  So, I had a couple of bowls of cereal, a pop tart (strawberry, frosted), and I drank half of the Ultimate Shot with a cup of water.

I did end up performing two trials with this product (more information about why in the effects section below).  During the second trial, I consumed half of the bottle again all at once, this time, with a couple of slices of pizza with the boys and two giant cups of water.

Product Effects

Roughly 20 minutes after consuming Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom I began experiencing insane nausea.  It is very rare that a kratom product makes me nauseous, which is what prompted the second trial.  I wanted to make sure that the nausea was definitely from the kratom and not an anomaly.  Ultimately, I found the same experience in both trials: sickness, with no positive effects.  Under usual circumstances, I would be taking more than the normal serving size to increase the effects (or reach the positive effects), but this product absolutely tore my stomach up with only a few drops! Oh, and both experiences sent me straight to the toilet, where I put on an elegant symphony which I’d call the “Ultimate Liquid” performance of a century! In other words: both experiences prompted incredibly painful diarrhea.  Fat Sam did not like!

Final Thoughts

I absolutely cannot recommend Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom.  This extract was horrible. The label and branding were very unprofessional, illegible, and somewhat shady.  The liquid tasted awful and left an even worse aftertaste.  The effects left me writhing in pain and crapping all day long. I usually reserve the one-star reviews for the companies which are overall clandestine, offering overpriced goods with little to no payoff, or for products with horrible side effects.  In this case, Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom showcased the negative trifecta, hitting all three whammies!  I strongly discourage this product and comfortably award it a 1 Star Fat Sammy Rating!

I purchased this Stamina 9 Sex Pill (male enhancement) from a local gas station before a road trip (I picked up 4 total).  I figured it might give me a chance to really keep it up all weekend long with my girl. After further inspecting the package at the hotel room, I realized that there was no brand or company listed on the package whatsoever. And although there was an expiration date and the confident words “Proudly Made in the USA” on the front of the label, there was no website. The formula claims to be all natural and the ingredients include Go Ji Extract, Deng Sen Extract, Atractylodes, Cinnamon Bark, Dismutae, Cornus, Cuscuta, Dang Gui, Licorice, Condonopsis, Cordyceps Sinensis, Rubus, Panax Ginseng, Pueraria Lobata, Superoxide Dismutase, and a “proprietary blend.” 

Product Administration

The package contains only one pill and the serving size in the supplement facts panel is suggested to be one pill (5000 mg). The instructions advise to consume the pill one hour before sexual activity.  It is also instructed to take the pill regularly for better results.  I took this pill 3 times total, one per day for three days straight. I purchased one for a friend who was with me when I picked up mine and asked him to try this product as well.

Product Effects

I did not experience any positive effects from using Stamina 9.  In fact, I had a tougher time achieving and maintaining an erection throughout the entire 3 days I used the product.  My friend reported no effects, stating it did not work for him either.

Final Thoughts

I suspect this is the same company that has released a few other sex stimulants in the last few years, although I cannot be sure.  This distributor has a poor reputation and the products are not considered safe in my opinion. I would not trust this company, and I did not have any positive effect from using this product. I firmly award this brand a 1 out of 5 Star Fat Sammy Rating.  There are far more trustworthy, natural, and more effective male sex stimulants out there, so don’t sell yourself short on something like this!

I should start by saying I have tried many red dawn energy products. I am no stranger to their Sleep Walker Energy and Mood pills, and have tried them many times.  Unfortunately, the previous reviews were not favorable, however, I still decided to give them another chance after seeing them pop back up in my local head shop.  I noticed this time the bottle read that the product was manufactured for and distributed by a new company called Evol Nutrition Associates.  I guess Red Dawn sold the brand to this new company.  Regardless, the bottle’s label largely remains the same, claiming an increase in focus, mood, and stress relief. The ingredients include a few vitamins, L-Phenylalanine, DL-Phenylalanine, Chinese skullcap extract (4:1), caffeine anhydrous (where most of the pep comes from), GABA, and bacopa monnieri extract (10:1).

I am surprised to see any products in this industry which contain any caffeine anhydrous, as it has been largely considered dangerous to consume in quantities large enough to provide the pep this company is going after.  Additionally, caffeine anhydrous is almost never worth the impending crash which is essentially unavoidable.

Product Administration

The supplement facts panel states two capsules to be a serving size, with a total of ten servings per container.  I tried Sleep Walker pills twice this time, the first being the recommended 2 capsules.  These two capsules I took on a near empty stomach, only having a grilled cheese sandwich and a glass of milk beforehand, and two large glasses of water throughout the hour after the pills were consumed.  I then tried the product once more a few days later, taking 4 pills within an hour.  This time, I had consumed 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza, a bread stick, and 3 glasses of water.

Product Effects

During the first trial, I followed the recommended advice on the label. After about 20 minutes, I began to feel a little light headed, and a tiny bit of pep. This pep was extremely short lived, only giving me roughly 10 minutes of “positive effect,” which I would describe as a mild improvement to motivation and a small bit of focus. I then began to experience a significant crash which cannot be explained with words.  I felt the need to immediately press my head in between two pillows and pray for the next day.

During the second trial, I thought I would have much better results given I had taken more of the pills and more water to counteract the negative effects of the caffeine anhydrous.  Unfortunately, the negative effects were amplified with no bonus to any of the (very little) positive effects.  The crash was twice as hard and lasted twice as long. In fact, I felt like a dried out skeleton by the end of the day.

Final Thoughts

I will admit that although I had never gotten much positive effect from these pills in the past, and it certainly took some courage to try them again, I never in a million years thought it could get worse than the previous attempts.  The previous reviews were all two star Fat Sammy Ratings, however, they have since lost a star. Perhaps it is the change in company ownership, or a change in ingredients I am not perceiving somehow…but the crash was absolutely not worth the very small benefit.  And Sleep Walker pills are most certainly not worth the money! I cannot recommend Sleep Walker Energy and Mood pills to anyone.  This product did the exact opposite of the bottle’s stated intentions.

I found this CBD pre-rolled joint by Hemp Trailz in a headshop while on vacation.  The container is average quality, although it is easy to break the cap if you are not careful.  The joint itself is very pretty inside the container, with all of the kief sort of “sparkles” in the light.  The label is gold to match the product name, “Kief Rollz Gold.” The label also suggests it is “king size,” containing over 50 percent CBD, and under .3 percent Delta 9 THC. It is kief and oil infused, lab tested, and complies with the agriculture act (allowing some level of hemp to be used in some products).  There is also the usual “do not operate heavy machinery” disclaimer discreetly printed at the base of the label.  The actual joint is a work of art.

Product Administration

There are no usage instructions on the label.  I decided to smoke about half of this joint within a few hours. I smoked the joint on an empty stomach and decided to order a pizza for dinner a few hours later, although I did not end up consuming any of the pizza (long story). The joint itself is well-rolled, smells great, and burns evenly.

Product Effects

I expected some pain relief, stress relief, and general relaxation from this product.  Unfortunately, I did not notice any of these effects. In fact, I did not notice any effects at all.

Final Thoughts

For as much as I spent on this product, and as beautiful as it was presented, I expected at least some sort of effect.  The smell was very nice, but I definitely did not pay twenty bucks for a sweet smell.  It was also rather sticky, making it a little less desirable to smoke.  It ruined the ash tray, as the kief will no longer come off and just smudges.  I got it all over my fingers as well, which I cannot seem to wash off.  I wanted to like this brand, but smoking CBD does not do anything for me, and the aftertaste was not great either. Currently, I cannot recommend Hemp Trailz Kief Rollz Gold, or Hemp Trailz at all.  I might try them again in the future, but presently this product has earned them a 1 Star Fat Sammy Rating. Will not recommend!

I purchased these CBD bath bombs from a local nutrition store.  CBD is all the craze these days, although I have yet to have a positive experience (or see any REAL positive effects) from any CBD products.  I still decided to give Green Roads a chance to impress me with a topical CBD product.  These bath bombs look attractive and are probably marketed to bath lovers, of which I am not.  The box states there are 100 mg of CBD per bath bomb. My box contained one calming formula (frankincense and roman chamomile) and one peace formula (lavender). The bottom of the box reveals a sticker which highlights the expiration date and batch information.  The box claims the bath bombs will enchant my every sense, and support my mental and physical well-being.

Product Administration

I drew myself a very warm bath and dropped both of these bath bombs in the water with me. The directions clearly indicate it is okay to use both bath bombs at the same time. I did this right, even bringing a giant glass of strawberry juice and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. Yes, Fat Sam, Bath, Strawberries, Bath Bomb.

Product Effects

My bath was bubbly and the bath bombs fizzed as I expected they would.  I did not notice anything exceptional, besides the general “feel good” scents that any other lavender product would provide.  Besides a fragrance, and some mild skin irritation, I would say the effects were none.

Final Thoughts

I was told these bath bombs would feel great.  I am not a bath person, as previously mentioned, but I was told that CBD affects the body differently when topically applied.  This myth led me to believe CBD might actually do something for me if I literally bath in it.  I even used both bath bombs and I did not feel a thing! The bath was not relaxing by any means and these bath bombs left my skin feeling itchy!  I am a bit disappointed, as I have reviewed a few other Green Roads products and really wanted to give them a better rating; However, the best I can do for the Green Roads CBD bath bombs is a 1 star Fat Sammy Rating.

I found this liquid kratom extract at my local headshop. This is the first time I have seen a Black Diamond product in a head shop (or at all).  It looks like they specialize in and only manufacture kratom products. In fact, this appears to be the only product they make altogether.  It is not something they sell directly to consumers online, but to wholesale and distributor/store ventures only. The label is easy to read, however, very limited in information and details. Mostly, the label only contains disclaimers which remove the company’s liability.  Unfortunately, that makes this product a little less consumer-friendly than I would usually like (especially for a 3 star rating).  Still, I gave this product an honest review and chance to truly impress me.

Product Administration

The bottle does not list any instructions as far as dosing or serving size. I chose to take the entire bottle’s contents all at once after eating a banana, a kiwi, and a milk.  I had eaten nothing else prior in the day.  I did drink a glass of water after having consumed the product (about 30 minutes in).  The product label contains typical FDA disclaimers and advises consumers to consult a physician before consuming.

Product Effects

Within about 15 minutes I started to feel the pep that I get from most kratom extracts that are worth anything.  It picked up, peaking at about 45 minutes in.  After the hour mark, I noticed a significant decline in effects.  I did experience light euphoria, was more talkative than normal (very typical for kratom products), and I had a little more energy than normal.  Although the extract was strong, I did not notice any negative side effects.

Final Thoughts

In the end, Black Diamond produced a very strong liquid kratom extract.  The vial was semi-high quality, with maybe a slight risk of leaking if it were not to be consumed all at once the first time it is opened.  I still suggest kratom newbies only consume half of this bottle at a time until they better understand what to expect.  Taking too much of this extract would definitely make a newcomer sick.  One full bottle was enough for me to feel the full effects though, and I appreciated that being a kratom veteran.

I also noticed a significant reduction to my appetite, which was nice. I love the appetite suppressant factors of kratom.  Anyway, I give Black Diamond Liquid Kratom a 3 out of 5 Star Fat Sammy Rating. They produce an effective product, with little to no negative side effects. They are a bit costly, and the experience only lasted me about an hour, but it was still fun.
