I had several people ask me to try Robocough, however, I had only recently remembered when encountering it in my local headshop. I had a particularly bad day that day and thought maybe it might be nice to experience an authentic DXM experience with a product basically made for it. They appear to make more than one flavor of this stuff, but the only option at the store was grape. I purchased 4 bottles, each at $7.99. Feels like a typical “5 hour energy shot” kind of plastic bottle. The label is what you’d expect, though very well described. Dextromethorphan HBr is printed at the bottom of the bottle as a reminder of the product’s authenticity.

Product Administration

I enjoyed 1 full bottle with only half a chicken parmesan sub on my stomach. I must admit…the taste was more unpleasant than actual cough syrup for whatever reason. Perhaps it was the flavoring being overdone. Regardless, DXM is never pleasant tasting in itself, and no one uses this product or anything like it for the taste. So, paying some allowances where due is important too.

After half an hour, I drank half the second bottle. I consumed the remaining 2.5 bottles throughout the 16-18 hours that followed.

Product Effects

The Robocough liquid may taste terrible, but it’s authentic DXM that can be felt. The onset for me occurred after about 20 minutes of ingesting the first bottle. I felt pretty wicked for about 10-15 minutes. I drank half of my second bottle at the 30 minute mark and then layed back for a few moments before realizing I had to rush to the toilet. I was on the toilet for a good half an hour, with uncontrollable diarhea. I got off the toilet, watched the original batman, and found myself back on the toilet again by the end of the movie. About half the time I used the Robocough, I spent on the toilet. I almost vomited a couple of times, but never quite had to. The time away from the toilet was pretty chill, and I was able to enjoy most of it. Felt a little vertigo a few times which made my time a little worse, but ultimately it was a mild experience all around.

Final Thoughts

The Robocough cough suppressants are authentic DXM products. They do work, and quite well, however, it comes at the cost of a gross taste, nasty aftertaste that lasts all day, and a really twisted stomach ache that simply feels like someone is cranking on your stomach with a ratchet. If you can handle being at the toilet all night, either barfing or crapping, but still pretty high…this is a great DXM product. For me, I think I’ll stick to the gel caps, or a better product altogether. Robocough is definitely better than a sea of other things though, thus, 3 stars with Fat Sammy. I wouldn’t recommend, nor discourage someone wishing to try Robocough.

Diamond CBD is a staple in the CBD community, however, like most CBD products, they are always seemingly overpriced for very little effects. Still, the “liquid CBD” shot trend continues, and Diamond CBD has entered the running. The bottle is cheap feeling, the label was peeling, though otherwise high quality. The bottle was sealed, and the flavor was grape. I picked it up from a local headshop and paid more than they sell it for on their site.

Product Administration

I took the Diamond CBD Lean Shot all at once on an empty stomach before going out to a club. I did not consume any alcohol that night. The instructions indicate a serving as half a bottle (60 ml). I did down the entire bottle all at once. I then downed my second bottle within the hour.

Product Effects

I tried to approach Diamond CBD’S Lean Shot Syrup with an open mind and no prejudice, however, I have not had a really good experience from any CBD product…so I’ll admit I was still not expecting much. The actual experience was pretty similar to what I expected: I got no effects from this product, besides an upset stomach. No relaxation. No mood enhancement. No high, nothing at all. Just an upset stomach, and a feeling I consumed too much of something.

Final Thoughts

CBD has never really had any type of impressive impact on me. I am also convinced that people who claim it works, are simply experiencing the placebo effect. This product, however professional Diamond CBD may be, is just the same as the other CBD products: overpriced with no effects. I have to admit, I expected at least something from downing two of these within an hour, especially after skipping a couple meals prior. There are far better things for relaxing and chilling out than CBD. Like good 5-htp formulae. Check out some of the products in my 5 star review section, and go with something other than CBD and you’ll be a lot happier. Pirate Chill, for example, is a much better option…and you get 30 servings per bottle. Vivazen is a kratom thing, and that works a lot better than this too, although, I’d say Vivazen is overpriced for the effects and tolerance builds quickly. Regardless, I cannot recommend Diamond CBD’s Lean Shot Syrup.

Green Roads has made a lot of CBD products throughout recent months, some better than others. Although, ultimately they are still all CBD products. CBD is very selective in who it works for. For anyone who is an actual marijuana enthusiast or smoker of any kind, CBD will seem so weak it will feel like nothing. Still, this product deserves a fair review. The packing was decent, shipping was fast, the bottle quality is average, and the labeling is professional.

The bottle and site declare a serving size of 15 mg. I have tried so many CBD products though, and have always been massively disappointed. No it doesn’t get you high, no matter how much you take. Still, I chose to down the entire bottle within 20 minutes, on an empty stomach. Tasted reasonable for a syrup of any kind. Mango was a good choice for flavoring.

Product Effects

My mouth was sticky, the taste left a bitter syrupy flavoring in my mouth. Ultimately, it wasn’t so bad. But the only thing I can claim from this is a little drowsiness. Kind of felt like I took a Benadryl. I did not get any type of buzz or high from this. I did not get any type of relaxation or pain relief. No anxiety relief. Everything was the same. I did not even fall asleep, despite how drowsy I felt. Very disappointed in this product.

Final Thoughts

When most people are being honest (myself included), CBD does not really do anything at all. It’s also wildly overpriced. This product is no different. $29.99 plus shipping for a 4 serving product that doesn’t do anything, even when you drink the entire bottle. I cannot give this product a 1 star review, as it is still well manufactured, tasted reasonable, and Green Roads is one of the better CBD companies; However, I also cannot give it greater than 2 stars as it simply does not work. Again, very disappointed. Had thought Soothe Syrup sounded like it would do something, and considered maybe they would have tweaked CBD in the liquid format, however, it did not do anything for me at all and I cannot recommend this product.
