I have tried Legal Lean products in the past, both from this company and from others. I have never had a tremendous experience which stood out to me in any way. I have also not had horrible experiences which were terribly memorable either.  I can say that the bottles mimic actual cough syrup fairly well, and that they are attempting to sell a sort of “party syrup.”  The labeling from this bottle is professional, and even has a holograph.  The flavor is grape.  The guy at the head shop said they sell it to a lot of people who go dancing.  I decided to buy two.

The supplement facts state to limit servings to no more than 2 servings in a 24 hour period. Each container (or bottle) is a full serving. The ingredients include a blend of normal vitamins, some sugar, and a proprietary blend. The blend contains Kava Kava, Skullcap, Rose Hips Extract, L-Theanine, Hops Extract, Melatonin, Lavender, Chamomile, and Valerian Root Extract.  I consumed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (strawberry jelly, baby), and a glass of warm milk, exactly how I like it.  I then drank the entire bottle of Legal Lean syrup.  The taste was pretty awful, despite the small sugary aftertaste (which was somewhat nice).

I then drank a second bottle an hour later.

I wanted to like this product, but right out the gate (about 10 minutes after I drank the first bottle), I began to feel very sick.  I went to the toilet about 20 minutes in to vomit, but could not actually puke. It just felt like I was on the verge of puking for a good 10-15 minutes.  Another 20 minutes went by and I had to go to the bathroom to expel what felt like WORLD WAR THREE from my bottom.  That’s right folk: straight diarrhea.  I decided to give the product the benefit of the doubt, assuming my peanut butter might be contaminated (just a joke), so I drank the entire second bottle an hour in.

I was extremely disappointed after realizing even the second bottle would not improve the scenario. The second bottle merely amplified my drowsiness, eventually putting me into a deep slumber I would not awaken from for nearly an entire day!  When I finally DID wake up, I felt completely out of it, much like a zombie, and could barely function.

Final Thoughts

I am sorry to say, but I did not dig this “Legal Lean” experience. I had tried their products in the past, but I have never been disappointed this badly. This was both nauseating, and unproductive.  It was pitched to me as though it were a “social” or “party” drug, but ultimately it only sent me to the toilet, twice, and then put me to sleep for good! I was no fun at my party. I was so tired I barely said a word. It kind of felt like my friends partied without me.  I can only give this Legal Lean product a 2 star Fat Sammy Rating, mostly because I did not ACTUALLY puke, and it was not so expensive.

The “Super K Extra Strong” liquid kratom extract came in a simple “five hour energy”-esque container.  The bottle was white with a cheap-looking purple wrapper that offered very little information about the company or the product.  The seal on the top of the bottle (after it was unscrewed) seemed very subpar and had already begun leaking.  The smell of the kratom inside was rancid.  Still, I chose to give this product an authentic, unbiased opportunity to impress good ole’ Fat Sammy.

Product Administration

There were no supplement facts or information on the bottle, besides a warning to shake well and that there were “6 parts to the bottle” – which I presume means 6 servings. I chose to consume half the bottle to start, and waited a bit before consuming the other half.  I had a few candy bars (1 snickers, 2 peanut butter cups, and 1 “payday” candy bar). I also had a pepsi cola.  This kratom extract tasted disgusting and was most particularly a difficult-to-handle aftertaste.

Product Effects

I began to feel the effects of this liquid kratom about 15-20 minutes after consuming half the bottle. The effects were weak. I did not notice any itchiness like I usually get with the good kratom extracts. I also did not notice much peppiness. But I did have a slight energy boost.  Taking the other portion of the kratom picked the energy up even higher.  But it was not much more than an energy drink or a few cups of coffee.  At least there were no negative effects.

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, I do not feel that Super K Liquid Extract was worth the money. I feel it was grossly overpriced for the vastly underperforming effects.  This liquid kratom solution was akin to drinking a few 5 hour energy drinks, although there was no crash (which is one of the only positive things I can say about it).  Ultimately, the Super K Liquid Kratom Extract only earns a 1 star Fat Sammy review, partly because of the poor effects and partly because of the high price.  I do not recommend this product and would not purchase it again.  This all explains why the bottle looked like it was in the head shop for years.

Hush Kratom products come in really awesome packaging. The boxes that the bottles are stored in provide a lot of easy-to-follow instructions and information. The ultra shot is a full spectrum extract, which in the kratom world typically means “more powerful.” Perhaps this helps explain the near $20 price tag on a single shot.  The company, Hush Worldwide LLC, makes many other kratom products, some of which I have reviewed.  I do find their products popping up in my local head shops more and more, and I feel they care about the quality of their image and the product effects.

This Hush product offers 3 servings of 3:1 kratom extract in a liquid form.  The bottle contains a see-through slot, allowing you to easily measure your portions.  The bottle also explains that only one serving should be consumed within a twenty-four hour period. I have a super high kratom tolerance, and as I explained in the other hush reviews, I did choose to take the entire bottle all in one serving.  I had 2 slices of my famous “fat sammy pizza,” which is basically my own concoction of gold fish, feta cheese, and a little bit of Red Bull tossed onto a local pizzeria’s famous supreme pizza. The gold fish give it a sort of “crunch” which I cannot explain.  Anyway, the kratom tasted horrible, and it left an aftertaste which was extremely hard to get rid of, even with my monstrosity of a pizza.

Product Effects

About 15 minutes after consuming the first serving, I felt the onset of the kratom. I had a light euphoria, a bit of a happiness spike, and I wanted to talk to everyone I encountered. Because I chose to go to the mall, there were many options in terms of “people to talk to.”  The two slices of pizza I consumed probably helped soak up some of the extract, giving it a sort of “extended release.”  I took the remaining two servings within an hour, and was talking so fast by the time I left the mall, the security guard was telling me to “keep it together man.”  I loved this product, but at the end, I did feel a bit nauseous and jittery.  I also struggled to justify the short duration of the effects based upon the price, as the total length of experience was probably about 1-2 hours.

Final Thoughts

Although this Hush Kratom product was slightly stronger than their coffee infusion kratom shot, I much preferred the coffee infused option (which I reviewed in another post).  The coffee one just simply tasted better.  I still love this company and I love their packaging. Most of all, I love their products and find them effective, and overall a good recommendation.  I feel perfectly comfortable suggesting Hush Liquid Kratom shots to anyone.  I also would buy them myself again. I had no negative side effects and a really positive time. Although, I can say it would be too much for someone without a kratom tolerance to take all in one shot. I am also not sure about the price point, as that is a bit of an expensive price tag for something that provided me a couple hours of fun.  Still, a great kratom product with reliable effects. Good work Hush, you get a 3 Star Fat Sammy Rating!

I will begin by saying I have previously tried (and reviewed) another Hush Kratom product, one of their basic kratom shots.  They made a really good impression on me the first time, and I gave the company a four-star Fat Sammy rating, which is very hard to do!  Thus, I went into this experience with a bag of skittles and a super high expectation!  The packaging is pretty stellar for a liquid kratom shot. Not only is the bottle in a really tough (and flawlessly resealable), but it comes in a stylish box that explains a lot about the product.  One of the coolest parts about this kratom product is that it is coffee infused.  Not only is coffee great for the caffeine benefits, but it presumably was intended to improve upon the horrid kratom taste.

I love a few more things about this product, which are administration-based. Besides the fact the little jar is very tightly resealable, it also has a see-through panel in the label and a measuring guide.  This allows you to see how much of the extract you have consumed each time, truly allowing you to equally break down the 3 servings.  The liquid shot tastes pretty good, at least better than any other kratom shot I have ever consumed (which is really saying something).  The container’s supplement facts panel explains that one serving is equal to 2-3 grams of leaf, thus making this a 3:1 or 2:1 extract.  While the bottle states not to consume more than one serving in a 24 hour period, I have a lot of experience with kratom and a super high tolerance, so I consumed the entire bottle within a couple of hours. I had an entire bag of skittles and a glass of soda pop while I was consuming the kratom.

About 20 minutes into the experience after taking the first serving, I began to feel the light kratom-like itch in my nose.  I also felt the itchiness in my arms. I took the remaining 2 servings over the course of the next 90 minutes or so, as it felt like the peak from the first serving only lasted 20-30 minutes.  I was talkative, energetic, and in a great mood overall.  The solution was easy to swallow, and the aftertaste was easy to get rid of!

All-in-all, Hush kratom is one of the most profound kratom brands out there. I really like the company, their trustworthiness, and the quality of their product. And I absolutely loved the coffee infused shot. That was very helpful in terms of taste and aftertaste.  I can vouch for this product. I think if it weren’t so expensive, and if it lasted a little longer I would have given it a five star rating (rare).  The coffee infused part of the product meant it was short-lived in terms of experience. Still, a fabulous kratom extract, and I loved the box it came in as well!

Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom is one of the shadiest products I have seen in a long time.  This type of business used to be common back in the 90s and early 2000s, when the internet was less dominant in our culture.  Today, however, it is almost unheard of to have no website, no company name printed on a bottle, and no real information about the product itself.  Especially in the supplement and kratom industry.  This product’s label is so hard to read, most people would struggle to make out anything other than the name of the product itself (Ultimate Shot Gold).  Hilariously, the product name is not enough to identify the contents.  Regardless of the illegibility of the label, I was able to determine the product was a kratom extract, with (supposedly) no other ingredients.  While it claims it was “made in the USA,” I somehow find that extremely hard to believe. Still, I decided to give this product the benefit of the doubt, as I have seen it in more than one headshop/gas station.

The tiniest, almost impossible to read supplement facts panel describe a serving size as 7.5 ml, or one half of the bottle. I decided to take only half, as the bottle described, mostly due to the shady, way the bottle is marketed (with no mention of any company or website to learn more information). There are, however, some typical FDA disclaimers (if you can read them).  And the rest of the instructions are to shake well and “not to consume on an empty stomach.”  So, I had a couple of bowls of cereal, a pop tart (strawberry, frosted), and I drank half of the Ultimate Shot with a cup of water.

I did end up performing two trials with this product (more information about why in the effects section below).  During the second trial, I consumed half of the bottle again all at once, this time, with a couple of slices of pizza with the boys and two giant cups of water.

Product Effects

Roughly 20 minutes after consuming Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom I began experiencing insane nausea.  It is very rare that a kratom product makes me nauseous, which is what prompted the second trial.  I wanted to make sure that the nausea was definitely from the kratom and not an anomaly.  Ultimately, I found the same experience in both trials: sickness, with no positive effects.  Under usual circumstances, I would be taking more than the normal serving size to increase the effects (or reach the positive effects), but this product absolutely tore my stomach up with only a few drops! Oh, and both experiences sent me straight to the toilet, where I put on an elegant symphony which I’d call the “Ultimate Liquid” performance of a century! In other words: both experiences prompted incredibly painful diarrhea.  Fat Sam did not like!

Final Thoughts

I absolutely cannot recommend Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom.  This extract was horrible. The label and branding were very unprofessional, illegible, and somewhat shady.  The liquid tasted awful and left an even worse aftertaste.  The effects left me writhing in pain and crapping all day long. I usually reserve the one-star reviews for the companies which are overall clandestine, offering overpriced goods with little to no payoff, or for products with horrible side effects.  In this case, Ultimate Shot Gold liquid kratom showcased the negative trifecta, hitting all three whammies!  I strongly discourage this product and comfortably award it a 1 Star Fat Sammy Rating!

I have seen other Happy Shaman products, mostly CBD in composition, however, this is the first time I have seen the brand release a kratom product.  Some of the claims on the label include “microbiological certificate of analysis,” “all natural,” and “100% kratom.” There is a QR code which links to their wholesale website.  This website is largely useless, unless you have a wholesale account, however, it does explain why this product is only available in headshops or smoke shops.  The package has a trippy, shamanic-like graphic on the front, and the rear of the bag is see-through, allowing one to inspect the purity of the powder before they purchase.

Product Administration

The package is rather large, but it must be as it contains 100 grams of powder.  It is resealable, which is a convenient plus. It also fits in most large pockets, which is great for me since I often use my kratom “on the go.”  The label suggests a serving size to be 2.5 to 3 grams.  Although it is probably difficult for a normal person to measure 2.5 grams of kratom powder, I have a lot of experience with kratom and can easily measure it by eye.  I chose to consume 5 grams within 20 minutes on an empty stomach.  I then consumed another 2.5 grams at the 30-minute mark. I also took another 2.5 grams at the 1 hour mark for good measure.

Product Effects

I felt what I thought MIGHT be a small kratom buzz coming on about 30 minutes in. I was a little bummed, as I had consumed so much of it (toss and wash style) at that point, that I felt I deserved some better effects.  I did not notice anything else.  I took a total of 10 grams within an hour and my effects were almost none.  The kratom had what I would describe as a “weak” taste to it. Meaning: in all the kratom I have ever tasted, I have never tasted one which felt like it would be weak in terms of effects, besides Happy Shaman Trance Kratom.

Final Thoughts

Although this kratom product would have been cost-effective for the weight, it ultimately did not make the cut in terms of effects.  I cannot recommend this product, as I believe it is too low of a quality to even brew a reasonable strength kratom tea.  I would have loved to have a better review, as I liked the fact I could see how much powder was left through the clear back, and I felt the QR code was pretty professional, however, the company failed to retain my business. In fact, I did not even use the entire product, as it was simply too weak for me to want to reuse. Ultimately, Happy Shaman Herbs “Trance” Kratom has only locked in a 2 Star Fat Sammy Rating. The only reason it does not get a one-star rating, is because the bag is resealable, see-through, professional, and the kratom did not make me sick.

Being that I am a regular kratom user, I was very excited to try a new liquid extract. I have seen other Affinity kratom products in local head shops, but they were all capsules or powder-based products.  This was the first time I had seen a liquid affinity product, and this one was also full-spectrum!  Full spectrum kratom extracts are typically far stronger, so my anticipation of a good time was very high going into this one.

The product is sold in a classy little box.  It has a very “apple-esque” feel to it, being mostly white, clean, and legible.  Within the box, one finds a beautiful, glass bottle. The bottle has another label on it, and between the bottle and the box, the company has managed to fit an entire book of information.  A disclaimer states the product is for persons 21 years or older, and that the product is packaged in the United States.  It also states the product has been “rigorously tested” to maintain a pure, contaminate-free liquid.

Product Administration

Each bottle of Affinity Liquid Kratom Extract contains 10 ml of solution.  The serving size on the supplement facts panel is 3.3 ml, or one third of the container. The ingredients are purely Mitragyna speciosa (kratom) extract) and the materials needed to turn the kratom into a liquid.  Considering this is a pure kratom product, which they list is equivalent to 2-3 grams of kratom, and I have a super high kratom tolerance, I decided to chug the entire container.  I had consumed a small picnic earlier that day, with some fruits and sandwiches, but nothing more.

I should also mention that there is no way to determine how much liquid is left in the container, thus making it extremely hard to measure the servings.  If someone wanted to measure the servings, I would suggest using the cap, as one cap holds roughly one third of the total liquid in volume.  I should mention that the cap is very easy to leave unscrewed, which can make leaking more likely. And finally, it is worth noting the taste as being surprisingly bearable for a kratom extract (which usually taste horrible).

Product Effects

Roughly, 15 minutes after consuming the bottle, I began to feel the effects. I felt the light, itchy feeling in my forearms and in the tip of my nose. I felt the tingling and the talkativeness that comes from the opioid-like kratom buzz.  I felt the mood boost (I was a lot happier). And I had some mild pain relief in my back, which normally hurts like hell! Unfortunately, the effects are rather short lived, with a peak at about 35-40 minutes in, and the body balancing out after an hour or so.  Still, there was no negative side effect, no crash, no jitters, and no nausea.

Final Thoughts

Although this product has become harder to find and can only be purchased in person at a head shop, it is one of the best liquid kratoms I have tried.  The brand has been reliable, offering many other products in the past (including pills and powders).  The only downside I see is the price, which is too high considering one bottle is barely enough for one person for an hour of effects.  Other than that, I would easily recommend this product, as I have only had positive experiences with it. And while I have reviewed two previous affinity kratom products which earned 3 Star Fat Sammy ratings, this one earns one of my more elusive 4-star reviews! Great work on the liquid extract guys!
