This product was on a top shelf in a Florida smoke shop. It was strongly recommended by the clerk as their best selling Hemp flower.  The price was expensive, but I decided if any Delta 10 products work (which none I had tried so far ever manifested any effects), then this one would be the one. The heavy glass jar is labeled “SFV OG,” presumably their name for the kief-rolled “hand picked” hemp buds.  Supposedly it is a Delta 10 hybrid, making it part indica and part sativa.  The flowers are “premium kief covered” and “hand trimmed” as well.   The back of the label states that the selected hemp is “strain specific, 100% natural terpenes” with a cannabidiol content of 1500 mg and a Delta 10 THC content of 150mg.  It also states 1600 mg of active cannabinoids.

Product Administration

Although Delta 8 and 10 are supposedly legal, the bottle lists a total active Delta 9 THC content of under 0.3 % (this is to be in compliance with the Farm Bill of 2018, allowing the sale and production of Hemp at will).  There are no usage instructions on the bottle…but I decided to vape through about a gram, smoke through 2 grams, and I used the rest to create an oil with vegetable glycerin, which I proceeded to vape as well.

Product Effects

Out of all of my attempts to enjoy this product (vaping, smoking in a joint and in a bowl, and vape juice), none of my attempts produced any favorable effects.  I did enjoy the smell and the taste, and noticed no negative side effects, thus, I can award this product a 2 star Fat Sammy review. Not the best rating by any means (obviously), but also not the worst.

Final Thoughts

This Delta 10 flower was extremely overpriced and led to no legitimate effects I can trace to being “marijuana-like.” I can say that it smells amazing, just like the actual stuff. And the taste is pleasant.  And if you smoke enough of it, you do feel a TINY bit more relaxed…but it simply isn’t worth the amount or time or energy to smoke through 3 grams to feel what a melatonin could give you.  I cannot truly recommend this brand or this flower, but I can say it was not the worst product I have reviewed.  I still think the Delta 8, 9 and 10 flowers are completely placebo and a total fad. They are certainly not worth the money.

I purchased this Bali Gold kratom powder from a headshop in Florida while on vacation.  The container is a small white jar, sealed by the label.  The label is very easy to read.  A small plastic scoop is provided in this tub, alongside 60 grams of fine kratom maeng da powder.  So not only do they seal the container with the label, but they also seal the kratom in independent, sealed plastic bags.  Think of it like…the bag of cheese inside of a box of velveta.  The label has a few claims which include the kratom offers “pain relief,” “relaxation and anti-anxiety,” relief from opiate withdrawal and addiction,” “sedation,” and “mood boost.” It also claims to be all natural.  The normal FDA disclaimers are included as well.

Product Administration

The instructions on the label indicate taking “1 scoop” and then waiting 20-40 minutes and increasing dosage by half a scoop at a time until desired effects are reached.  I had eaten a giant slice of cheesecake and about 6 mini milky way bars, along with a huge glass of milk before I took my first scoop, so I choose to take 2 more scoops within the hour.

Product Effects

Within 20 minutes of the first scoop I began to feel the talkativeness and pep from a good kratom buzz. After about an hour and 2 more scoops, I had some light itching on my arms and tip of my nose, which is a good indicator of a nice kratom high. I felt confident, encouraged, and sociable.  I hung out with a few people, we went to a bar, and I mingled for a bit. The effects began to wear off after 3 hours. Which is a little short for a kratom high, but still fairly fun!

Final Thoughts

This was one of the nicer kratom powders. The scoop made it nice and easy to consume (and measuring was super simple).  I also like how ultra fine the powder was, as it increased the delivery speed in terms of effects.  The actual kratom high was nice: total elimination of back pain, total relaxation, and my anxiety was eliminated.  The only downsides are the price, the taste, and the shorter effect term.  Altogether though, I can tell you it was still worth the money and I can recommend Bumble Bee kratom confidently with a 4 star fat Sammy review.  If you like to toss and wash, this is a good option.

Bumble Bee Kratom has been popping up a lot in head shops in Florida lately, I am seeing them all over the place.  They sell a variety of flashy bottles.  This bottle was the flashiest, and the “best seller” of the store. The cool sporty blue caught my eye immediately.  They claim it comes from the same island that produces most of the Borneo kratom around the world.  They have also named this brand “Kalamantan Sapphire” with a slogan of “Treasures of the Java Sea.”  Some of the claims on the front of the label include “be physically active,” “high level of concentration endurance,” “reduce sensitivity and improve mood,” and “get enough sleep.”

Product Administration

The supplement facts panel does not exist, but there are suggested use instructions.  The bottle states to take 2 capsules and wait 20-40 minutes before potentially increasing dosage by 2 more capsules.  It also suggests that the effects may last up to 4 hours, and that herbal supplements such as Sapphire Kratom are not regulated by the FDA.  I decided to take 4 capsules up front, and then took another 4 after about 45 minutes.  I ate a nice meat loaf meal cooked by my woman after consuming the first 4 capsules.

Product Effects

Sapphire Kratom pills were fairly strong. The Maeng da probably had a lot to do with the potency, however, I started feeling the first four caps about 30 minutes in (as I was eating supper).  I then upped my dose after dinner and had the four additional pills. I felt a bit jittery, probably from taking too many, but also very excited, very enthusiastic, and very energetic.  I enjoyed the effects, which lasted about 3 hours for me before weening off.  No nausea, no side effects.  Ultimately a very smooth, very clean kratom energy.  The only complaint is how short lived 8 pills actually were for me.

Final Thoughts

Although the label may be hard to read from all the tiny font, at least they are thorough and provide enough information to better understand kratom and their product.  They also have clear company information printed on the bottle, although their website was down and under construction.  For 90 capsules of white maeng da per bottle, it is well worth the price.  The energetic and peppy kratom high is noticeable and also makes the price tag worth it.  While it is not the best kratom brand I have ever tried, it is most certainly “better than middle of the line.”  In the upcoming days I will also be reviewing other Bumble Bee Kratom products, so stay tuned!

I purchased this pack of Slushers Delta 8 candy from a head shop in Florida while on vacation.  They market the product as a THC fruit snacks which is legal and just like “gushers.” The label is easy to read, professional, and resealable.  The front of the package states “Legal Farm Bill 2018”, and that each candy is “bursting with flavor in every bite.”  Their slogan is “You Know What’s Up!”  The back of the package is rather extensive,  filled with a ton of serving, ingredient, and warning info.

Product Administration

The product label states 1 slusher (25 mg of Delta 8 THC) is a serving size, and the ingredients include suga, MCT, Hemp Extracts, Corn starch, tapioca, maltodextrin, palm oil, glycerin, and a variety of other things.  There is the typical “These statements haven’t been approved by the FDA” disclaimer is on the back panel, as well as the “do not drive or operate heavy machinery, or consume if pregnant or breastfeeding” warning.  I do like that the product lists the expiration date and the batch number.  It also states it is for 21+ aged adults and that the gummies are lab tested.    I chose to consume the entire pack within 10 minutes, rather than the suggested 1 gummy per serving size.  I consumed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a milky way candy bar about an hour later.

Product Effects

I did not notice any effects from these gummies, besides them tasting pretty much like gushers candies. 

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, I was let down. I felt like I paid for a 25$ pack of gushers that tasted slightly worse than actual gushers. While it was a plus they were coated in sugar, and different flavors, I still felt led on and let down.  I am still irritated that I got no effects, and I cannot see myself recommending this product to anyone. Delta 8 seems to be a scam.  While it may be “legal” it certainly doesn’t work in terms of generating any sort of relaxation or high.  The only reason the Slushers get 2 stars instead of 1 star, is because they tasted more pleasant than most CBD and delta 8 products.

I purchased these Delta 8 THC “Toasted Flakes” cereal bars from a headshop while out of state on vacation in Florida.  There were a few other options, including a knock off Apple Jacks which I also purchased.  They were expensive, and the box was flamboyant.  The boxes look exactly like the cereal boxes, except they boast “Delta 8 Mile High Cure,” “Hemp derived,” and “Warning 18+.”   There is a supplement facts panel, a large number of ingredients, and a lot of warnings on the back of the box.  Some of the warnings include that the product is for 21+ adults (despite the front of the box warning it is for 18+ only), not to operate heavy machinery, and that the product is in compliance with the 2018 farm bill or Agriculture Improvement Act.  It also states the product contains less than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis.

Product Administration

The supplement facts panel states there is only 1 serving per container and that it contains 150 calories worth of cereal bars.  There is a giant list of ingredients, mostly normal, cereal-bar related ingredients.  Strangely, Delta 8 nor THC (nor even Hemp) is listed in the ingredients section.  I am partly wondering if I just bought 150 calories of cereal bar shoved in a flashy Delta 8 box.

Product Effects

I did not experience any effects from this Delta 8 THC product, and I consumed it all as quickly as possible on an empty stomach.  I did not get any relaxation benefits. I did not get any “CBD-like”high, and I did not get any other type of benefit.  I did, however, get an upset stomach about 30 minutes after consuming these “cereal bars.”  They did not even taste good!

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, the Toasted Flakes Delta 8 THC cereal bars are not all that they appear to be. They are massively overpriced and small in quantity. They are completely ineffective. While the packaging is fancy, the product simply isn’t worth the money. To top it all off, the manufacturer “MHC” is super anonymous and extremely shady.  I cannot by any means suggest this product to anyone. It is extremely unreliable and only cashing in on the fake “Delta 8” fad. It is probably Chinese made, despite being clearly marked as “made in the USA,” as there is no way frosted flakes would allow this brand to utilize their “Tony the Tiger” graphic, a clear misrepresentation and trademark violation.

I found Pirate Botanicals a long time ago, probably 3 or 4 years ago.  They are sometimes in my local headshop, but usually I just order my bottles online as they ship fast and I like knowing I’m getting the newest stuff.  The company is super reliable, always responds to any customer service emails I have, and their products are all natural nootropics.  This product, Piratall, comes in a small amber colored bottle with a seal.  The label states that the product is made in the USA and it is classified as a dietary supplement.  The label claims the product is a “cognitive booster,” “memory enhancing,” offers “Focus and energy,” and is “fast acting.”  I like that the label is easy to read and it feels like I’m buying Pirate Booty!

Product Administration

Piratall works best for me when I take it every day, and I typically do. I usually do at least 2 caps a day, which is within the confines of the suggested use panel…however, there are days where I will do up to 6 caps at a time.  I will almost always do Piratall with a glass of water and I usually take it after lunch when I start to get groggy and tired.

Product Effects

When using Piratall every day, the effects build up in the system and I notice greater benefits.  However, there are also times when I will do 6 or even more caps all at once, and it brings on a euphoric-like effect.  This is a natural stimulant feel, and it most definitely helps with my memory recall and focus.  I like to compare 6 caps to taking an Adderall basically. Although, I have had friends who seem to get the same effect from taking only 2 caps, which is what the company suggests.  Each bottle is supposed to be a 30 day supply, even though I do not use it like that and typically just take them as I feel like it. I love the uplifting feel and the energy I get from Piratall and can easily recommend it for those uses. And I definitely get more done on Piratall. I’m more motivated, more dedicated to my work, and more enthusiastic about life.

Final Thoughts

All-in-all, I have reviewed Pirate Botanicals for years and have always been impressed. They have an array of really high-quality nootropic supplements that have always left me satisfied. Their Piratall is my favorite product, as it is a really potent stimulant with all natural ingredients.  I would highly recommend Pirate Botanicals and Piratall to anyone looking for a cognitive enhancer or mental boost.  It is well worth the money and works even better the more you take it. That said, Piratall is a clear winner and maintains its 5 star Fat Sammy rating!

I found Ketoret Bio Kratom on a discount shelf at a smoke shop.  The bottle looked nice, and a good White Maeng Da can be hard to find these days.  Especially with all the other variations of kratom.  Honestly, though, White Maeng Da is always the best.  This 100 cap bottle is resealable, has a nice wooden top, and the label is very easy to read.  The product claims zero added fillers, 3rd party testing, and that the pills are all-natural. Their website is easy to navigate and has a nice, white feel to it.

Product Administration

There is a disclaimer on the side of the jar that states the capsules are used as containers for the powder only. There are no supplement facts or instructions in terms of how many to consume.  The only other disclaimer is that “the product is not meant to cure or treat any disease or condition.”  I am very familiar with kratom, so I decided to take 8 capsules within an hour, in true Fat Sammy style.  I consumed a single slice of “meat lover’s” pizza before I undertook my capsule taking.  I then consumed 4 more caps about 1-2 hours after the product started to kick in. I typically toss and wash all of my kratom, so I did not make use of the gelcaps…I simply emptied them into my palm, 2 at a time, and swallowed them with a big gulp of water.  The product is faster in terms of delivery this way.

Product Effects

I felt the effects of the first 8 capsules rather quickly, maybe 10 minutes after I began consumption.  I maintained my high for 1-2 hours, though it did take 12 capsules total.  While it sucks having to toss and wash 12 capsules (or even eat 12 caps straight up for that matter), it was worth the light Maeng da high I am used to.  I’m a little disappointed it didn’t last longer, but I do believe this company is selling a reputable strain that can be counted on.  I felt the mild euphoria one gets from kratom and was a lot more talkative.  As a social high, kratom can almost always be counted on when working with a trustworthy brand like Ketoret Bio.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, I have tried better kratom products, however, I do like Ketoret Bio’s White Maeng Da caps.  I found them middle of the line in terms of potency.  I like that the product is all natural, and contained only Mitragyna speciosa (kratom) and gelatin.  I like their transparency as a company, but they did lose a point by taking the “kratom is not for human consumption” route.  This is only because kratom is most certainly a supplement that most companies in the industry are proud to stand by with a supplement facts panel.  Regardless, I can recommend Ketoret Bionaturals and I do feel their kratom is worth the money.

Curevana seems to be a CBD-oriented company, although they have lately been pushing their Delta THC variants throughout local headshops.  I picked up this Delta 10 THC flower labeled “Junglato” for 9.89 at my favorite headshop.  The product claims it is a sativa blend, although, I cannot verify that by any means. There is a small icon on the container that claims it is lab tested, although I cannot confirm that fact either. Supposedly, there are 17.5 % total cannabinoids in the container. The regular FDA disclaimers are posted in tiny font, as well as the declaration the product is for 21+ adults only.  There is an attempt to educate consumers on Delta THC variants, that they are derivatives from the Hemp plant, making the product “entirely legal.”

Product Administration

There is a lot of tiny font on the side of the Delta 10 container, and although the company markets this product as Delta 10 variant, it is also revealed in the ingredients section to contain Delta 8 THC distillate as well. As if that weren’t bad enough, it also brings up Delta 9, stating the common Delta disclaimer that the product contains less than 0.3 percent D9 THC.  I smoked through 2 full bowls of this flower (ground up) in roughly 30 minutes time.  A friend of mine also smoked through two bowls of his own in the same time frame.

Product Effects

After smoking through two full bowls of their Delta 10 flower, Curevana left me completely unimpressed.  I would call the actual taste disgusting, like smoking an old, bitter, dated weed.  I was hoping to consume some pizza after my smoke, but all I felt was sick instead.  My friend shared the same experience: left sick with no appetite.  The smell was also awful after we were finished, even ruining our bowls.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately this was one of the worse products I have ever tried. The flower (or bud) was extremely small, felt very old and brittle, and had even lost its marijuana-like smell.  It was not worth even a quarter of the price, and I felt extremely ripped off. This is the second Curevana product I have tried, and I was disappointed both times.  Albeit, I have yet to try any of their CBD products, I believe both Delta variants and CBD alike to be a scam and a fad.  I cannot recommend Curevana at this time and feel they are ripping people off with their fake weed.

Gold Silver is a newer Delta 8 “cannabis” company, offering a variety of pre-rolls and delta 8 products.  This product is Tropicana Cookie flavored, and comes in a resealable joint container.  The joint itself is rolled in kief (like most Delta 8 pre-rolls) and it is listed as a “Sativa” product. The only real warning on the joint container itself reads “Keep out of reach of children.”  The company’s slogan is also printed on the container, reading “Inhale. Exhale, Smile.”  I purchased this from a very excited head shop clerk who swore it was “the most powerful Delta 8 joint they offer.”  He seemed sure that I would feel marijuana-like effects from this product and insisted it was very high energy.

Product Administration

I have zero tolerance for marijuana, as I have not smoked actual weed in months.  I smoked through this entire pre-roll in less than twenty minutes.  Although there was no need to use the resealable joint container, I still found that a nice touch and I might use it for something else in the future.

Product Effects

No effects of any kind were felt or experienced from Gold Silver’s pre roll delta 8 joint.  I was disappointed after smoking the entire joint, by myself, within 20 minutes…as I thought I would finally achieve the “delta 8 high” people talk about.  However, after this, I am more convinced than ever that Delta 8 is a scam.

Final Thoughts

As with all Delta 8 products, I had not noticed a single psychoactive effect from Gold Silver Tropicana Cookie.  This pre roll smelled like real marijuana, tasted sweet, and offered a reasonable “cigar-like” experience, however, it was sold to me (and purchased) as a marijuana substitute that would provide some sort of psychoactive benefit.  The clerk literally sold it as the most powerful Delta 8 variant product they offered and swore he himself smoked them regularly.  I see no benefit to purchasing this product over a sweet cigar, and feel it was a tremendous waste of money.  I cannot recommend Gold Silver Cannabis products at this time and would urge anyone thinking about using this pre roll to steer clear! There are far better legal highs out there, which offer far more desirable effects (or effects at all).

I purchased Curevana’s Delta 8 THC 2 joint pack from a headshop while I was on vacation in a nearby city.  The joints smell legitimately like marijuana, utilize a Curevana-branded joint tip, and are covered in kief.  The front of the package advertises that the product is for 21+ individuals only and that it is made in the USA.  While they had a few flavor options, Sherbert seemed the most appealing to me, so that is the one I purchased. There is a nice QR code on the back that shoots you over to their website, which appears to have started out as a CBD-based site only.

Product Administration

There are two joints per package, each with either 500 mg or 1.5 grams of Delta 8 THC distillate.  The reason I am unsure, is because the package literally states “1.5 gram per joint, 500 mg each joint”, which clearly makes no sense at all.   The only ingredients are “premium hemp flower” and “delta 8 THC distillate.”  There is a warning statement that reminds users the product has not been approved by the FDA, that it is made for adults 21 and over, and that it contains less than 0.3% D9 THC.  Interestingly enough, D9 THC is different than D8 THC, making this product’s claims a bit shady and unreliable.  There is also a warning about driving or operating heavy machinery after using the joint.

Product Effects

I smoked the entire joint within 10 minutes, by myself, and on an empty stomach.  I had not consumed any other drugs or alcohol, and I considered myself entirely sober at the end of the experience. I was not “relaxed” and I did not have even a hint of the traditional THC high one might find in actual marijuana. I did not receive any CBD benefits, or any hemp benefits.  The clerk pretty much lied to me when he said that I would feel the effects of this product.

Final Thoughts

I have not smoked real marijuana in months, so my tolerance is presumably as low as it can get.  Unfortunately, I found this product a huge waste of money and would not recommend Curevana or Delta 8 at this time.  Not only is this Delta 8 THC product a waste, but all of them have been a waste. I believe they are a fad, which will probably wane in the upcoming years as the real thing (actual marijuana) becomes legal in more states.  Curevana might sell some reasonable CBD products, if that’s your cup of tea, however, their unreliable claims on this product make me raise an eyebrow about trying any of their other products.  I only give this product a 2 star review (instead of a one star rating) because the herb smelled decent and the smoke was pleasant, even comparable to smoking a sweet smelling cigar.
