Trainwreck kratom is a new fad in the kratom world. Many manufacturers have been producing products advertising a trainwreck concoction of some type.  Kratom Pharmacy has produced their 11 strain trainwreck in a 250 gram powder jar available online and through many headshops. I purchased mine from a headshop for the same cost as I saw it online ($59.99).  Although it appeared the jar used to have a tamper proof seal, mine did not. I am not sure if there was a return or some kind of issue, but I did not let it bother me and considered this a general oversight or error (maybe even at the headshop level, rather than the manufacturer).  The kratom itself appeared clean, finely powdered, and unadulterated. The label claims it is the highest quality kratom, fully organic, non-extracted (just leaf powder), and “100 percent chemically tested.”

I find this product’s label very attractive. It definitely caught my eye.  The headshop owner also told me that it was his #1 selling kratom product, despite the high ticket price.  The container (jar) was a standard black, plastic jar with a resealable top.  The resealable top is nice considering it is impossible to ingest the entire contents in one sitting.  It is also a higher quality jar which I plan to reuse when I am done with all of the kratom (just an added bonus).

Product Administration

The label on Kratom Pharmacy’s Trainwreck states there are 250 grams per jar and that 3 grams is a serving. This breaks down into 83.3 servings per container. 

  • For my first trial, I chose to take 6 grams all at once, toss and wash style after eating two hotdogs and a large vanilla milkshake. I figured my stomach was rather full and that it would dilute the experience a bit.  And yes, I toss and washed with a milkshake, which I do not recommend!
  • For my second trial, I took 8 grams all within 20 minutes on an empty stomach (nothing but a large glass of water). I mixed this concoction with water and drank it fairly quickly.
  • For my final trial, I mixed 20 grams of this powder into a giant blueberry juice (nearly 2 liters worth). I spaced out this experience, consuming the mixture over an entire evening.

Product Effects

I obviously tried this product three times for my review, each with a different administration method.

  • I felt my first 6 gram experience roughly 20-25 minutes after ingesting the powder.  For this toss and wash style experience, the worst part was the taste, but the delivery was fast and the effects lasted a good hour or so (with a peak around 40 minutes in).  The pep was rather high for a ten minute period, and laughter was easy. It felt very social. Although I would have to keep repeating my dose to keep the experience lasting long enough to fully enjoy it.
  • For my second experience, I took the 8 grams with a mixer (water), and I noticed the effects within about 20 minutes again. The higher dose and water delivery made it a little easier, but it did not help with the taste.  The burps were pretty disgusting and my girlfriend refused to kiss me. The experience was a bit shorter lived, ironically, probably because the water flushed the kratom through my system faster. I was pretty happy for a good 45-50 minutes though. I did have some jitters at the peak (short lived, about 5 minutes or so).
  • My final experience was a near-full 2 liter mixer of blueberry juice. This was by far the most pleasant of the three trials. Not only did it taste great, but it was easier to consume more of the product at a steady rate without the negative aftertaste, burping, or kratom overload. In other words, no jitters and pure fun for about 3 hours or so.  I wouldn’t call it the BEST kratom experience I have had by far, but it was definitely one of the better ones!

Final Thoughts

Although the cost is expensive, if you consider that you are given nearly one hundred servings, it is not so bad.  The kratom itself is fairly high quality and did a wonderful job, although toss and wash or mixing into juice is not for everyone.  It still tastes bad and it can create nausea for an inexperienced kratom user.  The actual kratom effects (the high and giddiness that comes from an 11 strain mixture) is not as great as I had hoped for, but it is reasonable.

I kind of think the strain mixing fad will pass, as I myself prefer White Maeng da still over any other strain.  And that includes trainwreck.  If you think about the fact that trainwreck includes a mixture of some of the weaker strains (borneo, bali, etc.), it takes a bit of potency away rather than adding strength. I have never seen one strain develop more tolerance than another, and it seems no matter which strains I switch between, my tolerance stays the same.  Basically, this debunks the mixture idea (trainwreck) as having a more potent effect after developing a tolerance.  Of course, tolerance is one of the number one reasons kratom users turn to trainwreck and other mixtures to begin with – in an attempt to have stronger effects after having developed a tolerance.  In the end, I can still award this product a 3 out of 5 Star Fat Sammy Rating.

I assumed the company NJOY is the same company that makes the ecigarettes that appear in all of the gas stations and convenience stores around the United States, however, I could be wrong about that. My expectations were a bit higher as the cost was somewhat significant.  The package is resealable and of a standard quality.  The label does not have much information, although you can see through  some of the package on the backside. This company offers a variety of other kratom strains, including yellow borneo, bali, maeng da, red malay, white maeng da, Vietnam, and green malay.  I assume trainwreck (like other brands) means a combination of all of the kratom strains.

Product Administration

The package does not contain any dosing instructions, but it does include the normal disclaimers.  The product is listed for sale only to adults.  It is advised against using heavy machinery or driving while using Trainwreck kratom. The package also states not to use if pregnant or if you suffer any preexisting conditions (kidney, liver, heart issues). Additionally, it suggests not to mix with alcohol and that it may lead to dizziness. There are 75 capsules per pack.  I chose to take 6 caps for my first time with only a toaster strudel and a glass of water on my stomach. I waited a couple hours and took 6 more.  I then took another 4 after I was 3 hours in.

Product Effects

I did feel a VERY mild kratom affect but it was extremely short lived and came after ingesting the second set of pills.  I was able to revamp these effects after the third set of pills. Unfortunately, the first set of pills did nothing for me. It is also a huge pain in the butt to have to ingest 18 capsules in a matter of hours, or even 6 for that matter. I am not a fan of capsules at all. If I were going to retry this, I would empty them into a glass of juice or toss and wash them without the gelcap.  Though, I have had many better kratom experiences and I cannot see myself exploring NJOY’s trainwreck again.

Final Thoughts

Njoy kratom was definitely not all it was cracked up to be. The clerk at the head shop (the only place it is available without having a wholesale account) explained it was a great seller and really knocks you on your butt. Unfortunately, I did not experience any of this. In fact, I just fell asleep and then had what I would describe as a hangover. I would not say it is the worse, and it is certainly better than the products I rank as one star, but it definitely does not earn my approval or my recommendation.

Also, I love that the back of the package is see through as it is always nice to know what you are getting before you purchase. Although this unfortunately does not make up for the subpar kratom effects.

I purchased this small jar of Pure Synergy Botanicals “Gold Extract” Kratom Tablets (Maeng Da) from a local headshop very recently. I had tried another Pure Synergy product and was about equally happy with it. This product, however, was a bit better, even though still not quite good enough to grab that fourth star rating.  The container is smaller, easily fits in the pocket, and resealable.  The tablets are chewable, which is new for me (first time trying a chewable kratom tablet).  It is a Maeng da extract, so I expected it to be considerably strong as Maeng da in my experience is the best strain of kratom.  There are 600 mg of extract in each container (6 tablets total). I was extremely excited about to try this product.

Product Administration

The facts part of the label indicates each table contains almost 1 full mg of Mitragyna speciosa extract, and that a serving size is one tablet.  I chose to take 2 tablets to start, and then took my next 2 subsequent tablets within an hour.  I took the final 2 tablets an hour after that. The tablets themselves smell awful and taste even worse, so be prepared with a couple glasses of water. It also takes a little while to chew these up and consume them properly.  I guess it would be possible to swallow them whole, however, these are basically horse pills and I cannot imagine this would be pleasant! I should point out I also consumed a steak and egg breakfast about 4 hours before ingesting the first two tablets.  I did not eat anything else the entire rest of the day (kratom can be a bit of an appetite suppressant, especially if you take this much all in one day).

Some of the warnings include not operating heavy machinery or motor vehicles while consuming these tablets, and not to take if pregnant or taking other medication.  The label also states you must be 18 years or older to purchase.

Product Effects

I felt the effects of the first two tablets within about 20 minutes and peaked at about 45 minutes in.  The effects were strong at their height, and it would not be possible to drive on these pills.  Although the aftertaste sucked a bit, the relaxation, pain relief, and peppiness was worth it.  The second two pills felt like they kicked on a bit faster, maybe 1-15 minutes in. They lasted about the same duration. The final pills were not as strong, probably because my body was getting a bit used to this strain and product.  If I had spaced them out a bit longer, or amongst different days I imagine they would still be equally as strong.

I wanted to also mention that a friend of mine tried this with me, consuming his entire container within about 3 hours total. His effects were fairly similar and he also enjoyed them. Although, he mentioned he might not try them again due to the higher price tag.

Final Thoughts

Pure Synergy Botanicals has produced some decent kratom products.  Their extracts are effective (both the liquid I reviewed a bit earlier this same month and these chewable tablets). The tablets are a bit large, and I wonder if they need to be this large, as I imagine the actual amount of extract within each tablet is probably rather small.  Still, the product is worthy of a firm 3 Star Fat Sammy Rating, which is truthfully a bit difficult to pull off!

My main complaint about this product is the price.  It is a bit expensive for only 2 hours or so of an experience, and the tablets taste bad.  I also find it a bit weird there is no information online about it (no website) and that it can only be purchased in person at a local headshop. If I wanted to try this again, I would have trouble finding it in person and it cannot be purchased online unless you are a store (wholesale only).  I did like the product, even though there are stronger kratom extracts available.

A local headshop of mine started carrying a large number of Delta 8 THC products. They are starting to pop up everywhere. The most popular at this particular shop seemed to be these prerolled joints. I bought a small number of them and this one was one of the first few experiences I have had. This seemed a bit like a “fad,” sort of like the CBD fad, however, I tried to remain open minded. The label states the joint contains 13 percent cannabinoids and that the product only uses “Farm Act Compliant Industrial Hemp Extract.” They did sell a few other versions of Delta 8 THC, but “Lifter” was supposedly the “best” and the “strongest” option. The joint itself smells of real marijuana, and the tip is well powdered. The roll itself is decent, including a reasonable filter. Still, my expectations were obviously not very high (pun intended) as most of these organic marijuana substitutes suck.

Product Administration

Besides warning against taking if you are pregnant or nursing, no further instructions were on the label for this product. It looked like it would be strong, and smelled of real weed, so I figured I would smoke a few puffs to start. After 20 minutes passed, I tried smoking through about half of it, all at once.

Product Effects

Unfortunately, no effects were realized from the G6 Power “Lifter” THC Delta 8 Joint. I did not experience pain relief, anxiety relief, relaxation, calming effects, analgesic effects of any kind, nor any high. I have smoked better cigars than this, and they actually provided me with SOME psychoactive effects due to the nicotine! This product was a total waste!

Final Thoughts

So far, I have tried a couple of other Delta 8 THC products, and at this point am very disappointed. I do not get any type of high or effects whatsoever from these products. The G6 Power “Lifter” joint felt like a scam to me. I tried their site (printed on every tube they sell in these headshops) and it does not even resolve. Someone released this product before they even made the website! Although the tube is pretty clever looking, easy to read, and easily resealable, the joint is ultimately worthless. It does smell pretty decent, but without the high or effects, there is definitely no point in spending ten dollars for a worthless cigarette.

OPMS is sone of the stronger standing brands of kratom on the market. They have made a ton of kratom products and I have tried many of them. I have enjoyed other capsules and powders and their liquid extracts. This product is a specific powder strain, Green Vein Thai.  They also label it “silver,” which is their way of more easily identifying product strength for their customers.  I usually review their Gold products, however, this silver powder popped up at my local headshop and it was hard to pass up.  The package states it is all natural and organic, which most of the OPMS products are (if not all of them). It is a nice quality package, thick mil, and resealable. You can see through the leaves which is nice because the powder is so well blended.

Product Administration

A finer kratom powder means it is much more soluble in water or juice, harder to taste, and of far greater surface area. More surface area means better administration.  I tried OPMS Green Vein Thai powder 3 different ways.

  • First, I toss and washed.  This is the toughest for a kratom amateur as it is not exactly pleasant tasting…although I will admit that OPMS silver was much easier than most. I used about a tablespoon within a 20 minute period via toss and wash method (place on palm, toss into the mouth and wash with water or juice).
  • The second method was mixing the powder in juice.  I chose to mix 2 tablespoons into a glass of orange juice. 
  • Finally, last but not least, I brewed a potent kratom tea.  All that is necessary is mixing roughly half an ounce into a pot with 3-4 cups of water, and brewing it on a simmer until the water dissipates to a single cup.  Strain out the kratom, and repeat so you end up with 2 cups of extract.  Then mix this solution with lemonade, tea, or juice (the more mixer you use, the further diluted the mixture and weaker the herbal tea). 

Hint: If you use fresh lemon juice, or toss a few sliced lemons into the pot during the simmering phase, the citrus assists in the extraction process making the tea more potent.

Product Effects

OPMS kratom is almost always the best kratom.  This particular product, OPMS Green Vein Thai powder, is not exactly my favorite, but it is extremely versatile (being able to work into a variety of concoctions or delivery methods).  Here are the results of the three delivery methods:

  • During the toss and wash method, the effectiveness was felt after about 15-20 minutes and lasted almost an hour. The peak was about 30 minutes in, for about ten minutes.  It’s not so bad if you are in a pinch and I like that the bag is resealable, as it makes toss and wash a bit more practical even on the go.
  • The mixing method was also fairly decent, taking effect slightly faster at about 10 minutes in.  The effects lasted a little longer than an hour, with a slightly longer peak.  Although it is harder to gauge as you go, because the kratom is severely diluted.  Still, it is very potent and quite enjoyable. I like that the bag is a big bigger, making measuring for a mixed drink a bit easier.
  • Finally, there is the herbal tea method…which was extremely enjoyable. This method was by far the most potent of the three delivery methods. This allows for enough kratom tea for 1-2 people to enjoy for an entire evening or night.  Sometimes, I brew a tea for a party.  During this trial it was only for myself and no one else.  I begin feeling the kratom tea within 10-15 minutes of drinking it.  As I continue to drink it throughout the evening or night, the buzz remains for most of the night.  Although it is not a strong buzz, it is most certainly worth the money in my opinion and did not create any nausea. It was fairly perfect when brewed as a tea.  I also had a little left over for the next day with this recipe. 

Final Thoughts

OPMS Kratom has been around for a long time and they have nearly never let me down. I have yet to find a product by them which I would award a 5 star rating, but I can give their Green Vein Thai Kratom powder a solid 4 Star Fat Sammy Rating. The kratom was finely ground, it made a very good herbal tea, and it was very easy to toss and wash. I also do my own capsules (load gelatin caps with the powder).  All three methods of delivery were very satisfying. I enjoyed the tea the most, but it is a bit of a task to actually make, so it required a bit of a commitment. Still, very much worthwhile to make and the relaxation, pain relief, and light intoxication effects are without a doubt worth it! I can confidently recommend OPMS Green Vein Thai kratom, as well as any other OPMS product. While this is definitely available in many headshops, it is possible to find it online, though sometimes it seems counterfeits seem to arrive instead, making it difficult to find the real deal. But all-in-all, I have to say OPMS always pulls through and remains a great bet.

I have reviewed many Legal Lean products, from their vape pods to their kava. I have also reviewed their generic grape flavor of Legal Lean syrup (about 2 years ago).  They are almost always in at least one of my local head shops, although you can find them available for purchase online as well.  They come in three flavors including the original grape, this blue raspberry, and “quali” (although I never see this one in stores).  The last time I reviewed the Legal Lean Syrup (grape flavored), it scored a 3 Star Fat Sammy Rating.  This is pretty good for me, as most “legal highs” I review score a 1 or 2 rating.  I do like that the bottle is resealable and that there is a safety seal. I also feel the labeling is attractive and find their choice in flavor for this one quite nice.  The blue raspberry actually tastes a bit like blue raspberry. This is refreshing in this kind of industry – as most products like this taste nothing like they are supposed to. Although this is not a nutritional product, it does contain vitamins and also about 30 calories.

The Legal Lean Blue Raspberry bottle is pretty much the same as their grape bottle, only with a different label.  It is easy to read and resembles an actual cough syrup container, which is what it is meant to simulate. Although I was never QUITE a fan of “robo tripping” back as a kid, I can say it was definitely possible to get high off cough syrup (so I always know what to expect with mimic products like this).  I can say firmly that it is also safer than actual cough syrup, which contains a lot of ingredients that can be harmful in large quantities (acetaminophen).

Product Administration

The product label clearly states that it is only intended for adults and not to drink Legal Lean before operating heavy machinery.  It advises against drinking if you are pregnant.  There is an additional disclaimer warning not to consume more than 2 servings within a 24 hour period. This would mean two bottles, as there is only one serving per bottle.  I consumed 2 servings (2 bottles) within about 8 hours. I only ate an open-faced turkey sandwich in between bottles. I also had a tuna sub from Subway later on that day (after the second bottle). The ingredients include some B vitamins, zinc, chamomile extract, lavender extract, valerian root extract, l-theanine, melatonin, rose hips extract, hops extract, st. john’s wort extract, skullcap extract, and kava kava extract.  Kava Kava is the main ingredient they are counting on providing the intoxicating-like effects.

It was advised to me by a clerk at a headshop to mix it with a giant glass of juice, however, I prefer to drink mine straight.

Product Effects

Although Legal Lean is supposed to mimic robo-tripping, in reality it is likely about 40 percent the strength of actual dextromethorphan (DXM). DXM is the ingredient in cough syrup which typically provides the “high” and intoxicating like effects described and found in robo-tripping.  After about 10 minutes of consuming the entire first bottle, I began to feel a very mild buzz (probably about the feeling of a quarter of a beer).  Obviously, this is not enough to feel fully intoxicated, but it was a mild mood-lifter.  The mood lift only lasted about half an hour total.  I would say I felt normal after that. I took the second bottle around 9 to 10 hours later after tried to not eat after the sandwich so that my stomach would be a bit emptier.  That paid off, as I felt the second bottle a bit faster and it seem to last SLIGHTLY longer (probably about 40 minutes total).  While it might not be worth the $14 price tag, the product is by far better than several other products in my 2 star category. Unfortunately, it just is barely short of earning that third star.

Final Thoughts

I enjoyed Legal Lean and felt that it did a fairly good job of providing a relaxation and very “slightly intoxicated”-like feeling.  Although, it is still no where near as strong as actual robo-tripping, it is the best mimic on the market currently.  There are still better products in general than Legal Lean, which is why it only earns a 2 out of 5 Star Fat Sammy Rating.  I do feel it is reasonable to suggest this product and would buy it again myself! I also enjoyed the grape flavor, albeit that was a couple of years ago I imagine it is still pretty great.  I do not feel these products leave too bad of an aftertaste which is a huge benefit since no one really enjoys drinking a syrup of any kind.  Maybe mixing it with juice would make Legal Lean even more enjoyable. I should mention that their original formula was a lot stronger than this version. I believe they had to substitute 5-HTP or other effective ingredients for Kava Kava after receiving some negative scrutiny from the FDA. Perhaps this is why it is a lot weaker than it used to be. The company has a variety of other products which have not ranked as well (1 and 2 stars only). Most of these other products the Legal Lean company produces are CBD or kava-based.

I have to begin by stating this is my fourth Genius Plus supplement review.  I have tried their energy, focus (non-cognizin formula), and balance formulae.  The highest rating they have received from me is a 3 star review for their non-cognizin focus formula.  This was nearly a year ago.  This is one of two products they sold at my local headshop in a four pack.  The formula includes “organic” lion’s mane, l-theanine, green tea extract, alpha-gpc, KSM-66, phosphotidylserine, and of course cognizin citcoline.   Although this product is distributed by Genius Plus LLC, the ingredient cognizin is made and trademarked by “Kyowa Hakko Bio CO LTD.”  The front of the package states it will provide improved memory and clarity.

Product Administration

Of course the normal disclaimers are present on the package, including only healthy adults over 18 years of age should consume this supplement. And no one pregnant or nursing should use Genius+ products. This package states a serving size is one full package (4 capsules).  It also states to consume the pills with one 12 ounce glass of water. I purchased two of these packages and consumed 8 caps total within 2 hours. I kind of thought I knew what to expect, given I had previously tried their other Focus supplement a year ago and had somewhat reasonable effects.

Product Effects

I did feel a very mild concentration boost, probably about an hour after taking the supplement. I did not feel it lasted very long. At most, I would say the benefits were about 20 to 30 minutes in length, which unfortunately is not even long enough for me to receive a benefit on an exam or single study period.  I am glad it did not come with a caffeine crash though (no caffeine formulae are always better for the mind and body in my opinion).

Final Thoughts

I was hoping this cognizin formula would be the best of the Genius+ product line, however, it still received only a 2 Star Fat Sammy Rating.  I would not recommend this version of their formula, though I am not sure they still make their other focus supplement (despite that one only receiving a 3 star rating in itself). The package looks cool and is easy to read but ultimately does not reseal and is rather cheap.  This product has only popped up in my local head shop occasionally, so I assume it does not regularly sell very well either. Sorry, Genius+, but there are definitely better nootropics products out there, especially for focus!

I should start by saying I have tried Genius Plus Nootropics before. I tried their balance and focus products (back in February 2020).  I gave them 2 and 3 stars, respectfully.  However, those were sold to me in bottles, not in “4 cap packs.”  So I decided to give them another shot.  Plus, I had not tried their energy product yet.  The ingredients are a bit odd for energy. The ingredient that stands out the most is kanna. Kanna is typically not used for energy but for its more sedative-like properties. Lion’s Mane is sometimes included in energy but is more of a focus nootropic. Caffeine anhydrous is not the best ingredient to include in any supplement. It is highly regulated and notoriously bad for the body. Not to mention the crash that typically results from caffeine highs. Some additional ingredients include L-Tyrosine, Higenamine HCL, isopropylnorsynephrine, and bioperine. 

Product Administration

The package is pretty cool, but not easily resealable. I had to use a rubber band, although I did consume the entire 4 capsules within 1 hour.  To be clear: the suggested serving size is 1 capsule. I consumed 1 glass of water and a couple slices of buttered toast before I ingested the pills.  The back of the label states the product is made for individuals of at least 18 years old, who are not nursing or pregnant.  There are a few other typical disclaimers, likely due to the caffeine anhydrous.

Product Effects

I expected a lot more from this product.  I expected it to be stronger, I expected it to provide more powerful energy or focus. I did not receive much concentration, and what I did experience is likely from the caffeine.  The caffeine opened the door to a major crash which occurred only 30 minutes after taking the pills.  I would say the energy lasted about 15 minutes.  I did not get jitters, which was one of the only positive facets of this product.  Though, I did not purchase this to purely avoid the jitters.

Final Thoughts

The front of the package promotes this as an “advanced nootropics formula,” however, as other, more powerful nootropic products have shown us, it is not necessarily about a long list of ingredients, but higher quality ingredients. The label also states it promotes extreme power and stamina. Unfortunately, I did not experience either of these values from taking Genius Plus Energy Nootropics.  I was somewhat let down by this product and feel they may have chosen the wrong ingredients to promote energy and endurance. They probably skimped on higher quality ingredients. There are several other nootropic supplements out there which provide far more energy and no crash.  In fact, I believe a large part of the ineffectiveness of this supplement is due to the low cost. I can only give this Genius+ product a 2 Star Fat Sammy Rating.

Blissful Botanicals Kratom products only recently popped up in my local headshop (which is the only place you can buy them, locally).  They sold a few different “flavors” and types, I chose two different “Liquid Kratom Extracts.”  My other review is on their “Full Spectrum” product, which I was not very pleased with. This is the second attempt to try their products. I purchased two bottles of this Maeng Da formula, expecting I might need more than one.  The label says 12 ml equals about 9.9 grams of dry leaf (exactly like their Full Spectrum product), and that it contains 225 mg worth of alkaloids.  The bottle suggests consulting a physician before using, consuming at one’s own risk, and that one must be 18 years or older to purchase. It also states it holds no nutritional value.  The slogan is “Feel Good, Be Happy,” although my expectations were rather low.

The ingredients include purified H2O, vegetable USP (pretty normal), “Kosher” glycerin (weird to see both Vegetable USP and glycerin in one product, but whatever), ascorbic acid, citrus (to help the extraction process), and of course Mitragyna speciosa concentrate. This solution claims to be a 50 to 1 concentrate, which should have made it a rather powerful extract.

Product Administration

The bottle suggests that half of the contents is one portion, thus there are two portions per bottle.  Therefore, having two bottles, I had four doses. I chose to take both bottles entirely within 20 minutes. This is mostly because of my highly dissatisfying experience with the previous Blissful Botanicals product I had tried already.  I had a single slice of pepperoni pizza and a breadstick from Pizza hut before consuming this product with a large glass of water. 

Product Effects

I did feel a TINY bit of a kratom-like energy and peppiness, however, it was extremely short lived. This is disappointing as I expected this to be stronger than Blissful Botanicals “full spectrum” version of liquid kratom.  I had also taken this product a lot faster (both bottles within 20 minutes is a lot).  I can say that the product’s “after effects” were by far worse than any other kratom product I have taken in a very long time.  The taste itself was also horrible, along with the smell.  My effects lasted about 10 minutes, which is absolutely unacceptable.  I had a friend who also tried this product alongside me and had a totally empty stomach.  Unfortunately, like me, his experience was extremely short lived, and he was very disappointed too.  As much as I wanted this product to work, I consider it a major let down and will no longer be trying Blissful Botanicals products.

Final Thoughts

I have tried another Blissful Botanicals product, their “full spectrum” which was supposed to be more powerful than this. I also got charged more than this product. Something about this extract absolutely sucked though. The taste was worse (more lemon-like, extremely sour). The aftertaste lasted about twice as long and was a lot stronger.  My girlfriend refused to even sit next to me as she claimed I smelled like a nasty plant.  I could barely handle my own breath.  Not only was the high not worth the money, but I felt nauseous just from smelling my own mouth.  The fine powder that makes the extract stuck in my teeth a lot longer too!  This company is kind of new in my area, but I do not expect them to last long.  The bottle also felt like it would not close (just like the full spectrum liquid kratom product I tried by this company).  So even if I had chosen to take only half of the solution, it probably would have leaked out in my pocket if I tried to save the second half. I cannot in any good conscious recommend this product or any other Blissful Botanicals product currently and it only receives a 1 Star Fat Sammy Rating. Blissful Botanicals looks like it will be a strong winner and they certainly charge as if they are, however, they are a giant let down indeed!

Blissful Botanicals has a few different liquid kratom shots available in my local headshop.  Buying this product local is necessary as they only seem to sell their kratom wholesale to actual retail stores.  The containers are convenient, smaller in size (easy to fit in the pocket), and the labeling is fairly easy to read. My bottle claims it is 100 percent full spectrum Mitragyna speciosa, with 225 mg of alkaloid content. It is an extract that equates to 9.9 grams of dry leaf. This presumably would make it it a 10x extract, although the bottle does state it is a 50:1 extract.  This means for every 50 grams of leaf that go into the extraction process, only 1 gram of extract results.  I have tried far stronger extracts in the past, but given the smaller size of the bottle, I assumed it would be a more effective liquid shot.  The bottle warns the product is meant for individuals 18 years or older and to use at one’s own risk.

Product Administration

There are no actual dosing instructions on the label itself, although it does state there are 2 portions per bottle. I assumed one dose would not be enough, so I did consume one entire bottle each time.  I did purchase two of these and took my first bottle on an empty stomach at about 1 in the afternoon. I took my second bottle after a small while (probably 40 minutes later).  I did consume a glass of water with each “dose,” and I had a grilled cheese sandwich about 10 minutes after the second bottle.  The actual liquid was pretty bad tasting, but that is normal for kratom extracts (whether dry or in a liquid form). Having tried many other kratom shots in the past, I expected a horrible aftertaste, which I most certainly experienced with Blissful Botanicals Full Spectrum.  Hence the glasses of water. I also find the water helps deliver the kratom faster in terms of digestion, otherwise the liquid is not enough to move the kratom through the system on its own within a reasonable time frame.

Some of the other ingredients on the label include: purified H2O, vegetable USP, “kosher” glycerin, 50:1 Mitragyna speciosa concentrate, ascorbic acid, and citrus. The citrus is likely just lemon, which makes the extraction process easier and the resulting concentrate a lot stronger. There are 112.5 mg of solution per bottle.  It also makes sure to note that it is not a source of nutrients.

Product Effects

After about 10-15 minutes of having ingested this product, I began to feel the light giddiness that comes from a kratom extract high.  Liquid kratom is often much faster in terms of effects, although, the extracts are almost always the strongest.  This extract most certainly did NOT feel like a 50:1 concentration.  If I had to guess, I would say this figure is massively exaggerated.  Regardless, the high was very short-lived and only included a light conversational laughter for about 15 minutes or so.  Upon ingesting the second bottle, I did experience another short peak of about 10-15 minutes more.

In the end, I badly wanted to rank this product a lot higher.  I would have needed a far stronger experience to justify the cost, or I would have needed the cost to be far lower to justify the experience.  The aftertaste was harder to get rid of than some of my usual kratom extract choices, which is somewhat abnormal.  Maybe there was too much glycerin included in their formula, creating a thicker, more syrup-like solution.  Regardless, I absolutely do not feel I had a great experience, and the aftertaste did create a mild nausea that I struggled to eliminate for upwards of an hour.  This product also made my sandwich a bit unenjoyable (both in terms of taste and actual hunger fulfillment).

Final Thoughts

This was my first time trying a Blissful Botanicals product. I was kind of excited to see a new liquid kratom product.  The clerk explained it was a popular product and was flying off the shelves.  While I believe that it may be selling well, I do not believe they will restock this product, despite the convenient packaging.  Even with the product claiming such a high alkaloid content, I do not feel it justifies the cost. And if it actually had worked well enough to where the bottle was accurate in the sense there are two portions per bottle, the actual screw cap on top was a lower quality and I did not feel it would secure the second portion for travel (such as placing it within the pocket).

Honestly, for the price I expected a lot more. I only got the peppy kratom-like high for about fifteen to twenty minutes before I was right back where I started. The price was high for such a short experience. I should point out that a friend of mine tried his own bottle alongside me and he too was left feeling shorted and disappointed.  We did laugh for a few moments, but I could have laughed by watching the movie ”Step Brothers” or listening to some Kevin Hart comedy.  That would have been far more cost-effective. I can only give Blissful Botanicals a 2 Star Fat Sammy Rating for this product. I have tried far better kratom shots, and have had a lot better legal highs in almost all senses of the phrase.
