I purchased Urban Ice Kratom Oil Extract from a local headshop. The label was peeling off a bit, suggesting the bottling process was a little less quality than other companies in the industry, however, it was at least legible. The extract is an oil and supposedly “super premium.” The product also boasts being 100% natural, 100% legal, and 100% effective. They state it is a natural pain killer (just like all Kratom).  The extract uses Vegetable USP Kosher Glycerin.

Product Administration

The label suggests 2 servings per vial. The active ingredients appear to only be pure Maeng Da Alkaloids. Although, there is also a little citric acid, presumably for improving the bitter taste of Kratom and to encourage the extraction process of the alkaloids. I took the entire vial all at once, along with a glass of lemonade and a lean pocket (pepperoni, baby!).

Product Effects

I began to feel the giddiness that Kratom brings about somewhere around 20-25 minutes after ingesting it.  The onset was oddly delayed from what I would have expected, maybe due to the size of my glass of lemonade. The effects also only lasted about 20 or 30 minutes.  I did feel a bit happier, but was a bit depressed when I realized it was over so quickly.  There were no negative side effects, which is good as some of these liquid extracts can be very powerful and lead to undesirable experiences.

Final Thoughts

The container that Urban Ice Kratom uses, the glass vial, is pretty cool. It feels high quality and seals very well. There is a tamper-proof seal on each vial and it easily fits in the pocket.  The label does not hold very well though, and the actual effectiveness of the extraction is a bit weaker than some of their competitors.  Additionally, it does not last very long (perhaps 30 minutes maximum for the entire vial), making it extremely cost ineffective.  I also worry about the ingestion of oil, as it seems a bit unhealthy compared to other extraction methods.  I can recommend this product with a 3 Star Fat Sammy Rating only.

I have reviewed 3 or 4 other OPMS products. I like most of them. This product is a small, 8.8 ml liquid kratom extract shot.  It is a tiny little bottle, yet somehow most of the text is still legible. The label describes directions as: consulting your physician to ensure it is okay to ingest and not ingesting if you are a minor. The smell resonates strongly with that of a concentrated kratom extract. Although I have purchased from buyopms.com before and shipping is reasonable, I purchased this liquid kratom shot from a local headshop.  The bottle is easy to fit in the pocket, seals tightly, and the label is professional.  I should point out that I paid far more than $16.95 at a retail store, which is the cost on their website.

Product Administration

I take one bottle all at once (it does not specify any serving sizes). Usually I like to have a light meal first. For this liquid shot I had a fish and chips lunch from a local restaurant. The taste is pretty terrible, though the smell is okay. The aftertaste is pretty awful, so I always suggest having a chaser (juice works great).

Product Effects

OPMS Kratom Liquid Extract shot can be felt rather quickly.  I began to feel the effects within 20 minutes, and that was on a moderately full stomach.  The effects are uplifting, as usual with a Kratom high. Talkativeness goes up, pain relief goes up, and I always feel more relaxed overall.  I still have a sense of ambition, which I like. And if I am partying, like I was this time, the party is far more fun! It only lasts for about 40 minutes though, which is a bit of a bummer at such a high cost.

Final Thoughts

OPMS Kratom is always very good, though, I still feel it is overpriced for the short experience. The company has been around for a long time and established a brand that can be trusted. Although it is expensive, at least it works. I do wish the effects would last longer, however, it is one of the better products out there still.  The other products they sell are also fairly decent.

I purchased this product from a convenience store that was pushing a few CBD products at the register.  The Enkay Edibles looked fancy from behind the counter. The package, however, feels a little cheap.  After opening it, the Ziploc seal is hard to reseal.  The pills inside smell a little funny. I purchased the 200 mg caps and I paid 11.99, which I found to be too much for the few that were included.  The guy behind the counter explained they would alleviate my pain and ease anxiety.

Product Administration

There are no instructions as to how to consume these, so I took all of the caps at once.  The package looks like it was made for many different products, even supporting gummies and hard candies. There are check boxes which I assume are to be marked depending upon what is inside, however, my package did not have any markings.  I guess the company was super lazy.

Product Effects

I had no effects from Enkay’s CBD edibles.  This product was a complete waste of money and time. I cannot even claim any side effects, as I genuinely believe these capsules may have been empty altogether and I would have had the same experience.

Final Thoughts

I cannot find much about this company. They do not have a proper website, and are only available through sales channels.  They are one of the lower quality CBD companies, and have very little representation.  Obviously, all cannabis edibles are “cannabis infused”, making this seem mostly like a sales gimmick.  Most CBD products do nothing for me, however, the true scams are very obvious. I disliked this product, wasted my money, felt nothing, still ached, and may have had even more anxiety. Unfortunately, I can only give this product a 1 star Fat Sammy Rating.

I have used several Affinity products before and I have reviewed at least a few. For those of you who do not know, kratom comes in many strains. Each brand either chooses one strain to use in their products, or they release a product line with many different strains. Affinity has chosen to release many different products, featuring a number of strains. This is one of my favorite strains of kratom: White Maeng Da. The packaging is professional, resealable, and the look is futuristic. I like Affinity, but I do find other brands stronger. Still, strength is not everything.

Product Administration

The “Botanical Facts” panel suggests 1 capsule as a serving size, and reiterates there are 20 capsules per package. It also states that they are for measurement purposes only (many products in this industry cannot list that they are for human consumption, and it seems Affinity has taken this stance. I took 4 capsules within 1 hour with a giant glass of water. I then took the rest of the package within a day or so.

Product Effects

After about 45 minutes, I began to feel the onset of the familiar White Maeng Da Kratom high. It’s a little uplifting, mood enhancing, and makes you talkative. Unfortunately, this only lasted a good 20 minutes or so. And I took 4 capsules. Taking more does keep the high around longer, but if you are a Kratom enthusiast and a daily user, this package will probably barely last a full day.

Final Thoughts

I did try this product multiple times. Subsequent tests proved more capsules to be more fun, however, taking too many quickly diminishes the package and its value. I do like Affinity, I do like their kratom, and I do like White Maeng Da, however, I can only give this product 3 stars. This is mostly because there are better Kratom products out there, better legal highs, and more cost-effective options. At the same time, I still want to give this company and this White Maeng Da product two thumbs up. So if you’re on the fence, and it is right in front of you, it is definitely still a good buy!

I purchased my Homegrown CBD Hemp Oil from a smoke shop in a nearby city before a long conference for work. I thought maybe having some reduced stress might help, and it may be nice for my back pain. I have not tried many CBD products that work, so I did go into this product a bit bias. I still decided to give it a decent shot. The bottle claims it is pure hemp oil, and notes that they are full spectrum extract capsules. There are 30 capsules per bottle, with 25 mg of oil in each capsule. Although it is noteworthy the capsules appear to hold only powder, so it must be the extracted form of the oil only. The bottle came sealed and the labeling is all professional.

Product Administration

The serving size is supposed to be 1 capsule, twice a day. I decided to try this twice, first with the suggested use; and then a couple days later I tried double the dose (two pills at once, twice per day). I drank a full glass of water with each serving. I had a light meal probably about half an hour before, both times.

Product Effects

The first time I took Homegrown HEMP Oil Pills, I noticed nothing for about an hour or so. Then I began to realize that my stress really did gradually disappear. It did not last very long, but then again, most CBD products do not do anything for me at all. The second time I tried the product, I used two pills each dose, and the effects were slightly better, although, I still had 100 percent of my pain, and my anxiety did return within a few hours. I did not experience any negative side effects.

Final Thoughts

Homegrown HEMP CBD pills are some of the better CBD pills out there, however, they are still relatively weak in general. The cost is also very expensive for the amount of servings per container (especially considering they are only effective for a short while). The company is reputable though, and the product is professional. The container is good enough to reseal, and is childproof. I would recommend this to someone who does not want to use CBD every day, but wants a quality capsule once in a while.

I have reviewed Vivazen before, about 3 years ago.  They had switched formulae in between, going with Kava instead of Kratom. They also had a formula which totally sucked and had neither ingredient.  The Kava version, I may have ranked 2/5 Fat Sammy Rating.  The version which did not have anything good in it, would have been a 1 star.  With all of that said, I really liked the original formula Vivazen from back in the day (8 years ago ish). So it goes without saying, I was extremely excited to see this version of Vivazen in my local headshop.  The container itself is about the size of a “5 hour energy shot.”  “Fast Acting,” “feel good relief,” and “Kratom – Original Formula” are all printed on the front of the bottle. 

Although this product primarily relies upon Kratom for its effects, it also includes some other ingredients. Some of the other ingredients include willow bark, yohimbe, valerian, passion flower, and others. The product is supposed to relieve anxiety and pain. It is also supposed to be a mood enhancer.

Product Administration

The serving size on the supplement facts panel suggests half a bottle as one serving; However, in true Fat Sammy style, I almost always do a double dose (discouraged for most folk, especially with most products). I am very familiar with this product and have been looking forward to it for a while. I wanted to get the maximum effects, so I only had a toaster strudel in the morning, and then in the afternoon, I went downtown with the Vivazen (literally).

Product Effects

Within roughly 20 minutes of drinking the entire contents of the bottle, I began to feel a bit happier. The mood enhancement was peaking at about 90 minutes in.  I had a loss of appetite, which for me is a good thing.  I also did not feel any nausea, which happens with a lot of strong Kratom extracts. I felt an opioid-like talkativeness, however, I did not have anyone to talk to that I knew.  Being that I was walking at an outdoor mall alone, I ended up striking up conversation with random people.  Usually, I do not have as much courage.  Altogether, the effects lasted about 2.5 hours, with the decline starting at about 100-110 minutes.

Final Thoughts

Vivazen was a really great time. It is a little costly for only one experience, however, and it still builds a tolerance rather quickly if it is taken every day (I am assuming that is the Kratom). Other than that, it is a brand that I can trust, in an easy-to-open and consume bottle.  The flavor is not as bad as other liquid kratom extracts and shots.  I love that the formula does not have useless ingredients crammed in.  And I am very glad that they went back to a Kratom-based formula. Ultimately, despite having gone through a few bad years from many formula changes, it seems the company has gotten this product back on track. I am proud to award Vivazen a 4 star Fat Sammy Rating.
