Pirate Effect: a Lions Mane Extract Review

Product: Pirate Effect, Lions Mane Mushroom Extract Review

Manufacturer/Vendor: Pirate Botanicals

Website: Piratebotanicals.com

Cost: $11.99

Fat Sam’s Legal High Rating

General Product Info

The product comes in a convenient black resealable (zip-loc) baggie that can fit in my pocket. That’s great because there are 2 servings per pack. I got this product after reading about it being a cognitive stimulant. Something that would give me a mood enhancing euphoria, and energy. The product is namely relying on a special extract of Lions Mane, also known as Hericium erinaceus.

Product Administration

Each serving is 2 pills. The instructions state to take 2 pills and not to operate heavy machinery or motor vehicles. The pills were easy to swallow and I took them both within 5 minutes of one another, and a glass of water. Because the product is supposed to be a mood enhancer and create euphoria, as well as provide mental stimulation…I decided to go to the club with a couple of friends that night as well, we left 10 minutes after I took the first serving. I would take the second serving later on in the night, probably about 4 hours later.

Product Effects

This product was great. I started feeling the effects as soon as I arrived at the club, roughly 30 minutes in. The onset was a definite noticeable light burst of energy and euphoria…I felt socially lubricated and everything felt a lot more fun. I was easier to talk to and my earlier bad mood had disappeared. I felt like dancing and was more outgoing than usual, enough to ask someone to dance. Even walked away with a phone number that day. I had a couple drinks with it admittedly, but didn’t feel like I needed to. I just didn’t want the girl to feel uncomfortable. The effect peaked about 2 hours in, lasting about an hour…it was almost a rave-like effect. I could still feel it 4 hours in, however, could also tell it was starting to taper off a bit. That’s when I took the second dose. We stayed at the club until closing, and took the party home.

Final Thoughts

Well, I can say honestly I do not award many Fat Sammy Four Star Ratings…however, Pirate Effect is a fantastic spark of a high…a euphoria that can be felt and a fun time that can be measured in actual memories. I had a great time and for the money, it was a pretty great experience all around…top quality legal party pills.

Pharma Hemp Tincture CBD Review

Product: Pharma Hemp Spray, Tincture Review

Manufacturer/Vendor: Hemp Health Inc

Website: PharmaHempComplex.com

Cost: $19.98

Fat Sam’s Legal High Rating

General Product Info

The product comes in a nice glass bottle, it’s heavy, and has a spray cap to administer the “pumps” described in the instructions. The bottle boasts the product is a “calming remedy” and also is marked as “unflavored.” The ingredients being VG (vegetable glycerin, a common oil for extracting hemp), hemp oil with cannabinoids and some other ingredients. Pharma Hemp Spray is capitalizing on the buzz word “cannabinoids” although it is for sale in states where marijuana is illegal, thus none of the psychoactive ingredients found in weed, will be found in this product. The clerk at the headshop will explain that CBD relieves pain and doesn’t get you high.

Product Administration

The instructions on the label indicate shaking well and taking 2 pumps under the tongue twice per day. Holding the solution in the mouth, under the tongue for absorption for 60-90 seconds, then swallowing. The bottle suggests building the dose up (I guess to combat tolerance). I took the instructed dose the first day. The second day, I took 3 times the instructed does (6 pumps 2 times per day). On the third day, I took 10-15 pumps each time, 3 times throughout the day.

Product Effects

Unfortunately, as much as I wanted this product to work, I did not feel anything. No pain relief, no relaxation, no marijuana-related effects, no CBD-related effects (that they claimed I’d feel). This seems like a bunk product entirely. Zero noticeable effects, other than buyer’s remorse for the money I spent.

Final Thoughts

I cannot recommend this product to anyone. It is an overpriced glass bottle of terrible tasting oil. Zero effects. Zero noticeable benefit. The bottle is nice, but that’s probably why it’s so expensive, they give you a really nice bottle so you think the product is going to be effective. This is most certainly not a “calming remedy” like it said on the bottle. I have yet to experience any type of high or pain relief from any hemp or CBD related products, including Pharma Hemp spray tinctures.

OPMs Kratom Silver, Maeng Da Capsules Review

Product: OPMs Kratom Maeng Da

Manufacturer/Vendor: Choice Organics

Website: OPMKratom.com

Cost: $22.00

Fat Sam’s Legal High Rating

General Product Info

OPMs Kratom has been around for a long time and used to be sold in a variety of dietary supplement-style fashions. They were very open about being able to consume the Kratom as a tea or in capsules. The packages now say on the back that the capsules are “used as carriers or containers for the Mitragyna Speciosa, and to help facilitate the handling of raw powder.” It then sends you to the website for another, more thorough disclaimer. OPMs stands for Organically Purified Mitragyna Speciosa.

Product Administration

I took 2 capsules back to back within a couple of minutes, waited 20 minutes, took another 2 capsules…waited another 60 minutes and took another 2 capsules. I took the entire package of 16 capsules within 2 days with a reasonable amount of water.

Product Effects

I barely felt the effects of the Maeng Da Silver blend (which was explained to be the strongest blend they sell), despite consuming 8 capsules within 6 hours on one day, and 8 capsules within 4 hours on the second day. I am a daily Kratom user and enjoy other brands, which will remain nameless in this review as the purpose is not to promote another brand, but to right an objective review of OPMs Kratom. I barely noticed the Kratom at all though, and doubt if I took more I would have noticed it any better. It was even an extract, so it should have been stronger than a straight powder…although straight powders seem easily stronger than this.

Final Thoughts

Their product has been subpar in my opinion in the past (too long ago to write an official review), because of the price. It’s way too expensive for very little effects. This new version of OPMs Kratom (“not for human consumption”) is no different when consumed…still very expensive for little effect. With the experience that comes from using Kratom daily, I can say that this Kratom no where near stacks up to being any where near as strong as the average blend on the market. Don’t let the Maeng Da part fool you. If Kratom is your thing, better to just go with a straight powder from another vendor.

Legal Lean Grape Syrup Sedative Review

Product: Legal Lean Syrup

Manufacturer/Vendor: Legal Lean LLC

Website: LegalLean.com

Cost: $12.50

Fat Sam’s Legal High Rating

General Product Info

Legal Lean Syrup comes in a 2 oz bottle, all liquid and is about the size as a 5 hour energy drink. The product is marketed as a legal version of pop culture drug codeine, cough syrups and other ‘grape drank’ type of drugs. This type of name would insinuate a relaxing sort of dissociative effect, or at minimum, an anxiety relief. One of the big ingredients that the bottle relies upon is L-Theanine, however, it is interesting to note that actual melatonin is included as well.

Product Administration

I took all 2 ounces of the Dimatapp-like tasting solution all at once on a light lunch only. It was hard to get rid of the grape syrupy taste, which lingered for over an hour.

Product Effects

I began feeling the effects about 30 minutes in. Felt really relaxed, did not care about much for a couple of hours. About 2 hours in, the anxiety began to come back and the diarrhea began taking over my life. Totally sick to my stomach from whatever laxative-related ingredients were put into the syrup.

Final Thoughts

Being very similar to its close competitor, LeanBAK, a lot of the ingredients are the same. Unfortunately this also meant the diarrhea extravaganza was also the same. I spent all day on the toilet after ingesting this product with what I can describe as only “explosive” diarrhea. In fact, it was so debilitating I would not have been able to leave the house if I wanted to. The high was slightly better, but still not good enough to warrant higher than a 3 star rating. Maybe if it were remarketed as a relaxing laxative…

LeanBAK Relaxing Potion Legal Sedative Review

Product: LeanBAK Relaxing Potion

Manufacturer/Vendor: Nutrizone

Website: Nirvanio.net

Cost: $12.99

Fat Sam’s Legal High Rating

General Product Info

LeanBAK is marketed after the popular “pop” and “rap” songs referencing “lean” and grape drink. It is sort of supposed to emulate a codeine type of high. The bottle itself has the words ‘relaxing potion’ and it is specifically grape in flavor. The product is relying upon a few different ingredients, however, namely a 5-HTP formula to create the sedative-type of effects.

Product Administration

The product label suggests shaking and drinking the entire 2 oz (60 mL) bottle in one sitting. Because it is a liquid, it is taken much like a 5 hour energy shot. It’s about the same size as a 5 hour energy shot as well.

Product Effects

I consumed the entire bottle after only having a light lunch a few hours earlier. I began to feel a little relaxed about 20-30 minutes in. The relaxation was noticeable, and I did not care about anything I would normally be anxious about, for about 1 hour. After that, I began feeling an overwhelming anxiety, as if it had come back, tenfold. I then proceeded to engage my toilet in the most interactive and intense diarrhea exercises I have ever partook in. There were musical instruments of all types pouring sound right out of my bum! All in all, I only experienced about 1 hour of mild anxiety relief – I wouldn’t compare it to a xanax by any means…maybe more like…taking a strong melatonin before you go to sleep. Boo!

Final Thoughts

Conclusively, basically, we are talking about a 5 hour energy shot that tastes like Dimatapp, but is nowhere near as effective. LeanBAK does not provide a legal high of any value near $12.99, nor does it cure my cold…however, it did provide noticeably relaxing effects…along with turning my bottom into a diarrhea machine. If it didn’t give me terrible diarrhea all day and night, it might have gotten a “Three Star Fat Sammy” rating. Ultimately, no one wants to pay $12.99 per melatonin only to have it taste like Dimatapp.
