This can be a confusing product. Many people who are psychonauts will say “but hawaiian baby woodrose seeds are cheap.” Sure, cheap seeds are cheap, but nice seeds with guaranteed high LSA content, are extremely (and I do mean EXTREMELY) hard to come by. Thus we have this Edge77 product, premium Hawaiian Babywoodrose Seeds. There are 20 per packet and the packet is resealable (zip lock). It’s easy to fit in the pocket, making it narly to carry if you decide to dose at the club, while partying, at a friends house, etc.. Felt like medium quality packaging, not as nice as their other products, but I can understand why they wouldn’t put 20 seeds in a big ass bottle. This packaging worked okay and the package came fast (got it about 2 days after I placed my order).

Product Administration

I guess the idea is that there are 2 doses per pack, as there are 20 seeds total in a package and I know from experience that about 8-10 seeds is a good LSA trip. There are three ways to do this that make the most sense. First is the most uncomfortable but the greatest high: straight up eating the seeds. Eating them can produce nausea, though it would be the most powerful trip (eating 6-10 seeds is definitely enough, some people only eat 4). I did not do this method, but I have before, and from experience can tell that it would be much better with these higher quality seeds. Instead, I did the other two methods. Firstly, I did a cold water extraction. I let a cup of water reach a light simmer, but not a boil and when it got to a temperature that allowed me to hold the glass, I added 10 seeds and allowed them to sit for 2 hours. I then consumed the entire glass, all at once, after filtering out the seeds. For my second administration, I did sublingual, which involved 3 sittings of chewing seeds up and keeping them in the gum lines and under the tongue for 45 minutes without swallowing any spit (this is very difficult to do, trust me, but it’s worth it if you do it right). The first sitting was 4 seeds, the other 2 sittings were about 2 hours apart, and were 3 seeds each, bringing me “deeper down the rabbit hole.”

Product Effects

The first administration, cold water extraction was a nice, lighter buzz. This is because it takes far more seeds to produce the effects. Probably best to ONLY do a cold water extraction and use 12-14 seeds next time, to get better effects, maybe even more, but drinking it slowly over time. The effects though of the cold water extraction technique were mellow. A really good body high that made me REALLY lazy. I wanted to have sex and the sex I DID ACCOMPLISH THAT NIGHT was extremely pleasurable. This was, so far in my life, the best LSA trip I have ever had. It lasted about 3.5 hours. And then I sort of fell asleep to have what I would say were the most relaxing dreams I think I’ve ever experienced. Very sexual in nature, but absolutely to my liking.

The second administration, sublingual, was a much more noticeable high. There were very light visual changes, such as a light, colorful sort of “fuzz” that formed around any object’s edges. Almost like a colorful halo that would surround all objects around me. Shadows and depth were intensified and I felt a far deeper connection with nature (of which I was NOT in). I went to bed very late that night, forcing myself to stay awake later and taking more of the seeds to go a little deeper. I had a really heavy body high, one that (at times) rendered me totally useless. I had a deep elastic voice that was unreliable in terms of being able to finish sentences (although I was totally mentally clear, coherent and rational). I got hungry half way through and consumed a good size chicken dinner. I had sex again, multiple times and was described as “a very passionate partner.” I had a special connection with my partner, felt very close to her, almost like an ecstasy sort of feeling.

Final Thoughts

LSA is definitely a powerful aphrodisiac and a really exciting drug. I am surprised the seeds are legal, honestly, but they are beautiful flowers that grow on vines when planted, so it makes sense I guess that they would be available. The sublingual was definitely better than the cold water extraction and honestly the trip was worth the effort…even as uncomfortable as it is chewing up seeds and swishing them around in one’s mouth. I purchased another pack of the seeds already for a rainy day and can confidently give this legal high a 4 star rating. LSA is the real deal and a REALLY fun high! I think the biggest mistake people take is not doing enough all at once because they are afraid of the nausea it can create, but honestly the worst that can happen is a little vomit and STILL getting the high. I chose the two administration methods that I did because they eliminate (or greatly reduce) the chance of experiencing nausea. And in the end, Edge77 did a great job of producing the highest quality Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds I have ever tried, that’s for sure!

I honestly had a bit of a favorable bias for this product, as Edge 77 has made some pretty great stuff in the past. I like their containers, I like their labeling. I think they’re slick and the product is always fresh, no matter what I order. That said, the Damiana was no exception. It showed up in the pictured container, in professional packaging and with a business card. The container does reseal, and it keeps the herb plenty fresh throughout use. The product is sold by the ounce (no surprise there, honestly), and it is good for about a month’s worth of joint rolling at one to two joints a day, though I suppose that would vary depending upon how large a joint you roll.

Product Administration

I only smoked this product as a joint, and while I experimented a couple of times mixing it with tobacco, I felt it was a good enough high by itself, so I typically smoked it alone. A joint would last me almost a whole day, unless I weren’t working, then I rolled two and two did it for me. The smoke is thicker, and part of the experience, is letting it burn a little (almost like an incense).

Product Effects

The onset is fairly quick, much like smoking a cigarette or marijuana joint. I felt a buzz almost right away. Maybe a good way to describe it would be…a light, body-relaxing feeling, combined with a good side of mental stimulation. Each few puffs would last me a good 20-40 minutes before I’d even think about it again. It is easier to talk to people while on Damiana, and it is a very good social buzz. There is no real after effect or hangover-like effect. No crash or real drag. The smoke lingers some, but other than that, it’s mostly a good time. Maybe a tad bit more tar-producing than tobacco, but nothing that isn’t tolerable.

Final Thoughts

Damiana is its own sort of unique high. It’s kind of a stimulant, but kind of a relaxant. I know a lot of cultures use it as a marijuana alternative, but honestly it is much better employed as a tobacco substitute. Sometimes it is actually mixed WITH tobacco to create unique smoking blends, but I preferred it straight up in a joint. The aroma is thick and it sort of lets you hot box an entire room all by yourself. The smell is nice and the way it lingers adds to the experience. Although it isn’t a really crazy high, it’s most certainly a legal, psychoactive herb that provides light, relaxing effects that are still mentally stimulating. The price at Edge77 is reasonable considering it is a higher quality Damiana (a requirement to be able to actually feel anything). If we were talking about rating this product in terms of other Damiana products, it would be a 5 star product, the best of the best, however, it is being ranked a 3 star because it competes with legal highs that are still much better.

Purchased from a local head shop (although I realize it is also available online), it seems to only come in one size: 1 gram packets. The packaging is cheap, flimsy plastic and feels like a lot of the other product packaging the company makes. The feel of the herb was a little course, dry, and almost as though it was older in age. It was not very even in herb ratio and felt almost as if it would lead to dangerous, unreliable smoke. It is labeled, however, as “not for human consumption” of course. There is a picture of a skull on the front that is made out of a nuclear explosion. The head shop owner talked this product up pretty good, so I was excited and cautiously approached.

Product Administration

I used a normal glass disposable bowl to pack a small hit three separate times, about an hour apart. I did not use any other drugs or substances the entire day before, or the day of using this product in an attempt to get a clean experience. The hits were a little airy, feeling like the herb chosen for the spray was a little hard to burn. It did seem to take a little longer on the lighter to get any smoke out of it. The bowl cleaned up pretty nicely in the end though with a little 420 cleaner.

Product Effects

I smoked a small bit of this stuff in a bowl a few times and the high I got was extremely different each time. The first time, I noticed a huge hit, the classic spice euphoria and head high that makes you feel a little out of your mind. The second and third time, I only got extremely light hits. It’s almost as if the uneven herbal blend is the root cause of it being unreliable.

Final Thoughts

When you get a good hit, it is pretty okay, but it is frustrating having to roll through so much to get to that hit, and I ultimately gave up before I experienced the high for the second time. The product does reseal, so it is easily stored for later, but out of all the herbal incense blends out there, I’d say this is one of the more “bottom of the barrel” blends. I wouldn’t personally recommend it to anyone, and if you were to buy it in a head shop like I did, you’d feel especially ripped off due to the higher mark up. Best to pick a nicer blend, they aren’t that much more costly and will lead to a better high. Bottom line: while this herbal incense worked, it did not work that well.

The product comes in 2 sizes, 3 gram packs for around thirty bucks, and also 10 gram packs for around fifty bucks. The black product features two ak-47s and the words “24 Karat Gold” on the front. The product is technically labeled and sold as “not for human consumption.” There are currently no banned substances in the incense and it remains sold over the counter at head shops and online. The packaging is a little cheap and flimsy feeling, almost as though it could very easily tear (by accident), but it does reseal at least.

Product Administration

I smoked 3 bowls of the stuff total before putting the pipe down and deciding I had enough. The bowls were about 20-30 minutes apart. I consumed one glass of water throughout the process, only because the smoke was harsh on the throat. The herbal incense itself is pretty raw smelling and the taste a little thick. Leaves a sort of ashy taste in the mouth after a puff or two. The 3 sessions completely destroyed the disposable glass bowl I was using, making it uncleanable and unusable again (the tar was too sticky).

Product Effects

This was a typical spice-like product. The effects were felt nearly instantly with each bowl. The first was the best, the second was pretty good and by the time I was on the third bowl, I was kind of tolerant to the chemical and it was just “ok.” That said, tolerance for this research chemical built FAST. It was an okay high. I watched TV, laughed harder than usual, and felt a little more “in the story line” than usual. I was definitely high, had trouble putting together thoughts, but felt a general euphoria that I can’t describe better than a “happy percocet-like high.” It wasn’t as strong as some of the acid-like spice brands I have tried in the past. It wasn’t as weak as some of them either. The high for each seemed to drop off within 10 minutes of each smoke, and was dead by the 20-30 minute marker. I felt completely normal about 2 hours after the last bowl (though the actual high itself only lasted 10 minutes or so again).

Final Thoughts

This was a middle of the line kind of legal high. I would not call it particularly good nor particularly bad. My experience was absolutely…meh…bland. Being that I have tried many herbal incense products, I can say this is absolutely average. For someone who does not do herbal incense as often, it may produce more of a bang for the buck. Ultimately, I was not that impressed and the cheaper packaging was a pretty big turn off for me. Nothing sucks more than a company leaving you with the impression of “we cut corners on our packaging materials” right before you ingest their product.
