General Information

I purchased this “feel free” botanic tonics shot from a local head shop.  While they are based in Santa Monica California, it had made its way all the way to the east coast, which gave me incredible confidence in the product itself.  The container is a high quality blueish glass.  The front states their logo, and that it is a “plant based tonic.”  While the lid is a bit cheap, it is still resealable and comparable to that of an airplane bottle of alcohol.  The back of the product has a subtle message, “feel euphoric,” which always makes me excited, as I love a good euphoria product. This does appear to be the only product the company sells.

Administration

The ingredients include both kratom and kava, as well as some flavorful additives such as pineapple juice, coconut cream, and stevia leaf.  The container is one serving size, or 2 fluid ounces.  There is 3500 mg of kratom and 1700 mg of kava, which is where the effects come from.  I chose to consume two full containers of this product within an hour after consuming 2 pizza lunchables (my favorite lunchable) and a coca cola soda pop.  It should be mentioned there is the usual warning: not to consume if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Effects / Experience

This product provided some awesome kratom-like effects.  Although I cannot give it a 5 star review, as it simply isn’t in that tier of products, it is hard to get a 4 star review, and for kratom, this is akin to those effects felt by something like Vivazen (which has been a long time favorite of mine).  The onset for me after the first bottle was about 20 minutes in, and I felt the decline about 55 minutes in, so I consumed the second bottle. This kept me happy, euphoric and energetic for about another hour or so before I declined again.  I would say 2 bottles was the perfect amount, which makes it a bit expensive, but still, worth the trip.

Final Notes

While I had not heard of Botanic Tonics or their “feel free” brand until I first encountered this product, I can say that they are likely around for the long haul. They make a nice product, and the feel and presentation is all there!  I love the glass container, and the printed information is easy to read, including the supplements facts panel.  The kava probably helps a little, but mostly this is a high quality kratom shot.  In a sea of kratom extracts, it is hard to find a good kratom shot that’s worth the investment. While it IS admittedly a bit expensive to the end consumer, I can confidently give this company a four star Fat Sammy rating!
