I have seen several Queen Hemp CBD products in my local head shops within the last few years. They make a wide variety of products, including vape cartridges, concentrates, hemp flower, and edibles. These gummies boast 100 mg of CBD per piece and come in a great sour flavor. There are 4 sour gummy rings per package. The packages are basic, plastic, resealable bags with a clear back. The clear back lets you see the sugar on the rings and calls to a natural desire. The front of the package has a QR code that goes to the website and reaffirms there is zero THC in the product. The gummies are unique in that they are not only infused with CBD but also melatonin.
Product Administration
There are no usage instructions or disclaimers on the package. Because CBD traditionally does not do much for me, I chose to consume all four gummies in one go on an empty stomach in hopes I would have at least some effect. I consumed them early in the day, after being awake for only a few hours. The plan was to have a chill video game day after consuming the gummies (and maybe a light lunch).
Product Effects
It took about 35-45 minutes after consuming these gummies, but I almost immediately felt incredibly tired. It was such an overbearing exhaustion that I passed out right on the couch. I did not get to play any games, and I slept through most of the day, only to wake for dinner and then head right back to bed. I would not say it was pleasurable sleep, nor would I say it was unpleasant. The tiredness lasted a good 14-18 hours before I decided I felt somewhat normal again.
Final Thoughts
I would have probably given this product a 2 Star Fat Sammy Rating if there was no melatonin infused into the gummies. Instead, I can award it a 3 star given I did notice some sleep-inducing effects. This is because I believe the melatonin is the only reason they were at all effective, and by effective I do mean putting me to sleep. I did not feel any of the effects of the CBD, but definitely felt the melatonin hard. The gummies themselves were rather tasty and I do not feel the CBD tainted the flavor at all. The gummies are a bit overpriced, but I do like the company’s branding, despite there not being much information on the label (or any information really). Still, I have to hand it to them, as most CBD products are absolute garbage in general!
