OPMS is sone of the stronger standing brands of kratom on the market. They have made a ton of kratom products and I have tried many of them. I have enjoyed other capsules and powders and their liquid extracts. This product is a specific powder strain, Green Vein Thai. They also label it “silver,” which is their way of more easily identifying product strength for their customers. I usually review their Gold products, however, this silver powder popped up at my local headshop and it was hard to pass up. The package states it is all natural and organic, which most of the OPMS products are (if not all of them). It is a nice quality package, thick mil, and resealable. You can see through the leaves which is nice because the powder is so well blended.

Product Administration

A finer kratom powder means it is much more soluble in water or juice, harder to taste, and of far greater surface area. More surface area means better administration. I tried OPMS Green Vein Thai powder 3 different ways.

First, I toss and washed. This is the toughest for a kratom amateur as it is not exactly pleasant tasting…although I will admit that OPMS silver was much easier than most. I used about a tablespoon within a 20 minute period via toss and wash method (place on palm, toss into the mouth and wash with water or juice).
The second method was mixing the powder in juice. I chose to mix 2 tablespoons into a glass of orange juice.
Finally, last but not least, I brewed a potent kratom tea. All that is necessary is mixing roughly half an ounce into a pot with 3-4 cups of water, and brewing it on a simmer until the water dissipates to a single cup. Strain out the kratom, and repeat so you end up with 2 cups of extract. Then mix this solution with lemonade, tea, or juice (the more mixer you use, the further diluted the mixture and weaker the herbal tea).

Hint: If you use fresh lemon juice, or toss a few sliced lemons into the pot during the simmering phase, the citrus assists in the extraction process making the tea more potent.

Product Effects

OPMS kratom is almost always the best kratom. This particular product, OPMS Green Vein Thai powder, is not exactly my favorite, but it is extremely versatile (being able to work into a variety of concoctions or delivery methods). Here are the results of the three delivery methods:

During the toss and wash method, the effectiveness was felt after about 15-20 minutes and lasted almost an hour. The peak was about 30 minutes in, for about ten minutes. It’s not so bad if you are in a pinch and I like that the bag is resealable, as it makes toss and wash a bit more practical even on the go.
The mixing method was also fairly decent, taking effect slightly faster at about 10 minutes in. The effects lasted a little longer than an hour, with a slightly longer peak. Although it is harder to gauge as you go, because the kratom is severely diluted. Still, it is very potent and quite enjoyable. I like that the bag is a big bigger, making measuring for a mixed drink a bit easier.
Finally, there is the herbal tea method…which was extremely enjoyable. This method was by far the most potent of the three delivery methods. This allows for enough kratom tea for 1-2 people to enjoy for an entire evening or night. Sometimes, I brew a tea for a party. During this trial it was only for myself and no one else. I begin feeling the kratom tea within 10-15 minutes of drinking it. As I continue to drink it throughout the evening or night, the buzz remains for most of the night. Although it is not a strong buzz, it is most certainly worth the money in my opinion and did not create any nausea. It was fairly perfect when brewed as a tea. I also had a little left over for the next day with this recipe.

Final Thoughts

OPMS Kratom has been around for a long time and they have nearly never let me down. I have yet to find a product by them which I would award a 5 star rating, but I can give their Green Vein Thai Kratom powder a solid 4 Star Fat Sammy Rating. The kratom was finely ground, it made a very good herbal tea, and it was very easy to toss and wash. I also do my own capsules (load gelatin caps with the powder). All three methods of delivery were very satisfying. I enjoyed the tea the most, but it is a bit of a task to actually make, so it required a bit of a commitment. Still, very much worthwhile to make and the relaxation, pain relief, and light intoxication effects are without a doubt worth it! I can confidently recommend OPMS Green Vein Thai kratom, as well as any other OPMS product. While this is definitely available in many headshops, it is possible to find it online, though sometimes it seems counterfeits seem to arrive instead, making it difficult to find the real deal. But all-in-all, I have to say OPMS always pulls through and remains a great bet.

To start, I will say that I have purchased MIT 45 kratom products before, and enjoyed them. This is the latest MIT 45 kratom extract known as their “New Gold standard.” It comes in 2 capsules, within a professional looking packaging. The details on the package are easy to read and it it an attractive product, aesthetically. It is important to note that these capsules contain more than merely kratom extract, but also ginger, turmeric, and white pepper. The back of the box states that the capsules are used for transporting the material only, and that it is not for sale to minors.

Product Administration

In true Fat Sammy style, I took both capsules on an empty stomach (if you buy the ticket, you ride the ride). I had 2 glasses of water, one for each pill. I went to see a movie during the kick on, which was kind of hard to do during this lockdown situation we are in (boo to corona!).

Product Effects

Within about 20 minutes, I began to feel the pills kick on. I felt energized, talkative, and overall happy. This lasted about 30 to 40 minutes, before I started to feel like “maybe I took too much.” However, the unpleasant, nauseating feelings only lasted about 15 minutes, and then I was still feeling pretty good for about an hour. I would say the effects were completely gone about 2 hours after taking it, including the negative effects.

Final Thoughts

Out of all of the kratom providers out there, MIT 45 has always been a professional company. Whether they make a product that is too strong, or too expensive, I at least always feel something. One of the downsides of this particular product is how short lived the experience and effects last. It is also a bummer that it costs so much for such a short experience. I suspect that 1 pill is not enough, whereas 2 pills is definitely too much. Regardless, just as I had rated their last kratom product, I can confidently give their Gold Standard Kratom Extract Pills a 4 star Fat Sammy rating.

I have reviewed 3 or 4 other OPMS products. I like most of them. This product is a small, 8.8 ml liquid kratom extract shot. It is a tiny little bottle, yet somehow most of the text is still legible. The label describes directions as: consulting your physician to ensure it is okay to ingest and not ingesting if you are a minor. The smell resonates strongly with that of a concentrated kratom extract. Although I have purchased from buyopms.com before and shipping is reasonable, I purchased this liquid kratom shot from a local headshop. The bottle is easy to fit in the pocket, seals tightly, and the label is professional. I should point out that I paid far more than $16.95 at a retail store, which is the cost on their website.

Product Administration

I take one bottle all at once (it does not specify any serving sizes). Usually I like to have a light meal first. For this liquid shot I had a fish and chips lunch from a local restaurant. The taste is pretty terrible, though the smell is okay. The aftertaste is pretty awful, so I always suggest having a chaser (juice works great).

Product Effects

OPMS Kratom Liquid Extract shot can be felt rather quickly. I began to feel the effects within 20 minutes, and that was on a moderately full stomach. The effects are uplifting, as usual with a Kratom high. Talkativeness goes up, pain relief goes up, and I always feel more relaxed overall. I still have a sense of ambition, which I like. And if I am partying, like I was this time, the party is far more fun! It only lasts for about 40 minutes though, which is a bit of a bummer at such a high cost.

Final Thoughts

OPMS Kratom is always very good, though, I still feel it is overpriced for the short experience. The company has been around for a long time and established a brand that can be trusted. Although it is expensive, at least it works. I do wish the effects would last longer, however, it is one of the better products out there still. The other products they sell are also fairly decent.

I have reviewed Vivazen before, about 3 years ago. They had switched formulae in between, going with Kava instead of Kratom. They also had a formula which totally sucked and had neither ingredient. The Kava version, I may have ranked 2/5 Fat Sammy Rating. The version which did not have anything good in it, would have been a 1 star. With all of that said, I really liked the original formula Vivazen from back in the day (8 years ago ish). So it goes without saying, I was extremely excited to see this version of Vivazen in my local headshop. The container itself is about the size of a “5 hour energy shot.” “Fast Acting,” “feel good relief,” and “Kratom – Original Formula” are all printed on the front of the bottle.

Although this product primarily relies upon Kratom for its effects, it also includes some other ingredients. Some of the other ingredients include willow bark, yohimbe, valerian, passion flower, and others. The product is supposed to relieve anxiety and pain. It is also supposed to be a mood enhancer.

Product Administration

The serving size on the supplement facts panel suggests half a bottle as one serving; However, in true Fat Sammy style, I almost always do a double dose (discouraged for most folk, especially with most products). I am very familiar with this product and have been looking forward to it for a while. I wanted to get the maximum effects, so I only had a toaster strudel in the morning, and then in the afternoon, I went downtown with the Vivazen (literally).

Product Effects

Within roughly 20 minutes of drinking the entire contents of the bottle, I began to feel a bit happier. The mood enhancement was peaking at about 90 minutes in. I had a loss of appetite, which for me is a good thing. I also did not feel any nausea, which happens with a lot of strong Kratom extracts. I felt an opioid-like talkativeness, however, I did not have anyone to talk to that I knew. Being that I was walking at an outdoor mall alone, I ended up striking up conversation with random people. Usually, I do not have as much courage. Altogether, the effects lasted about 2.5 hours, with the decline starting at about 100-110 minutes.

Final Thoughts

Vivazen was a really great time. It is a little costly for only one experience, however, and it still builds a tolerance rather quickly if it is taken every day (I am assuming that is the Kratom). Other than that, it is a brand that I can trust, in an easy-to-open and consume bottle. The flavor is not as bad as other liquid kratom extracts and shots. I love that the formula does not have useless ingredients crammed in. And I am very glad that they went back to a Kratom-based formula. Ultimately, despite having gone through a few bad years from many formula changes, it seems the company has gotten this product back on track. I am proud to award Vivazen a 4 star Fat Sammy Rating.

Pirate Blast comes in a 30-capsule supply bottle. It is a dietary supplement. The purpose of the pills coming in 30-count supplies, is because it is a daily regimen. One pill is meant to be consumed every day. The red pills are easy to swallow and do not smell funny. Pirate Blast is a natural libido enhancer. It relies on a very potent Maca and Yohimbe extraction formula to increase bloodflow to the genitals and jumpstart things in the bedroom. And one of the best parts about Pirate Blast, is that it is unisex! This means it literally works for both men and women (and yes, I have regularly used this along with my girlfriend).

I should mention, like a few other brands, I have been a long-time fan of Pirate Botanicals. They produce consistently effective products. I have liked some more than others, but I am always happy with what I get, and it always comes in a professional fashion. I am reviewing their entire array of products again, as I do every couple of years (or so). They do still make the same three products I have enjoyed before, which is always a good sign. Product Administration

I take one capsule a day, usually before lunch time. This is just my preference, as I do not enjoy to get frisky until the afternoon or later. It is not hard to consume the capsule, but I still drink an entire glass of water with it each time.

Product Effects

Pirate Blast does not take long to “kick on.” Within 30 minutes or so of consuming my daily dose, I begin to feel much more aroused. This arousal does not go away, being gently present throughout the entire rest of the day. If I engage in sexual activity, I can make it longer, more times, and with great ease. It is not like a Viagra, which is a bit more demanding and can consume your life. This still leaves me feeling like I am in control (not a slave to my little man). I feel like it takes the pressure off of needing to achieve an erection, and I am able to focus more on my partner during an intimate encounter.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, Pirate Blast has produced some of the most fun stiffies and erotic experiences of my lifetime. I love that the formula is natural, and I love that it is science-backed. Taking some before an erotic encounter probably makes it 600 percent more likely to achieve an erection and I swear it has made me into a better lover. The longevity of the experience is absolutely improved, as I feel it allows me to go all night. It is rare that I support a boner pill of any kind, as a lot of them have untrustworthy, controlled, or otherwise banned ingredients. Pirate Blast, however, is made by a company I trust and have used for years; and it works in such a realistic way I am not worried about having a hard-on for days after intercourse. I give it a 4 out of 5 Fat Sammy Star Rating and can very comfortably recommend Pirate Blast to both, men and women.

Siberian Motherwort is a legal substitute for marijuana. It is a natural weed alternative and has been used for hundreds of years ceremonially. It can be used to induce trances, kind of like weed. It can be used to relax, kind of like weed. And it can be used to have a good time, just like weed. Edge77 sells a premium leaf that is far better than most. The harvest is clearly fresher and better stored. The product comes in a resealable container, just like all of the other products they sell. I have tried many Edge products and I enjoyed all of them, so I did go into this product review with high expectations. The label states the scientific name, which is worth mentioning too, Leonurus Sibiricus. I purchased 2 ounces of this product, so I would have enough to make 2 batches of tea and also smoke it.

Product Administration

I smoked through a few joints of this stuff within a couple days. I also vaporized it, and I brewed 2 batches of Siberian Motherwort Tea. Making the tea is very simple. Just add half an ounce to 2-4 cups of water and boil for a few moments, then strain, wait until it cools, and consume. I consumed the entire cup all at once.

Product Effects

I felt a very nice onset that was similar to a mild weed high about 4-5 minutes after I had begun smoking the stuff. I did smoke it as a joint, I also vaporized it. Vaping it (375 degrees F), was okay, but not as strong as smoking it, which was to be expected. That said, brewing it as a tea provided the best high, and it lasted the longest. It also gave me a sort of focus that felt almost spiritual. It’s rare I have spiritual experiences on any substance, but I felt very happy on this Motherwort. Each 5-10 minutes of smoking would produce a high that lasted more than a half an hour. It made movies more interesting, it made video games more interesting, and it made hanging out with my girlfriend during coronavirus lockdown more interesting.

Final Thoughts

Altogether, I can award the Edge77 Siberian Motherwort a 4 out of 5. It’s a different taste and “flavor” so to speak, than brewing a Jolly Lotus tea, or smoking their blue lotus. I did try an experimental “spliff” using both the Siberian Motherwort and the Jolly Lotus. And I can say they go very well together, however, even using the Siberian Motherwort on its own gives me a nice buzz and left me wanting more. I like the Edge store, they sell a lot of things that actually work.

I purchased my Chief Kratom Liquid Extract Shot from a headshop while visiting my cousin in Kentucky. The shop did not sell any other liquid kratom products, nor did it sell any other Chief Kratom products. It was a little expensive, but I had not seen a shot that size besides the O.P.M.s liquid kratom shots, and I was curious as to how potent it would be. This product says it is made in the USA, it comes in 12 ml plastic bottles, which are tiny. They remind me of miniature energy shot containers. It is worth nothing that these shots are not 100 percent pure extract. They are more than half an extract, and then presumably layered with normal mitragynine (or normal powdered kratom).

Product Administration

Chief Kratom states on the label that this product is for botanical use only, not for sale to minors, and that they assume no liability for the misuse of the product. Since there was no instruction set or supplement facts, Fat Sammy chose to dive full-in and drink the entire contents of the container at one time. The only thing that I had to eat before I consumed this shot was a bacon cheeseburger from Wendy’s and a small coke.

Product Effects

Within about 20 minutes I felt the onset of Chief Kratom Liquid Shot. I felt motivated, had energy, and was able to get some errands done which I had previously been putting off. I then felt like doing something fun. I decided to shoot a little pool. Although the potency had greatly diminished, I was still feeling it a little bit about 2 hours after the shot.

Final Thoughts

Although I have yet to find a Kratom product which will compete with the other types of products I review, I can firmly give Chief Kratom Liquid Extract Shot a solid 4 out of 5 Fat Sammy Review. The guys at Chief Kratom have a great product here, and their formula is effective. I would definitely warn people against taking the entire shot at once, it would be a bit much and likely unpleasant. The only real downside is the price, as it costs so much for such a small portion. Ultimately each of the shots is only good for one experience, for one person.

Additionally, there was a sort of wax-like gunk that was left behind at the bottom of the container when I was through with the shot. It almost looked like earwax. That was a bit of a turn off and I wonder what it could be, however, the experience was like most good Kratom products, so my worry is limited.

MIT45 is a brand of kratom products made by South Sea Ventures Kratom. The MIT 45 “2x” Liquid Kratom is still a kratom extract mixed with a few herbals to make it a liquid shot much like a 5 hour energy shot. The bottle is a little larger than a 5 hour energy shot, and the effects are obviously far different given MIT stands for Mitragyna Speciosa (Kratom), and not energy drink concentrate. Although the bottle looks metal, it is just plastic with a silver label. I purchased this product from a local headshop for $9.99. Although the company that makes it (South Sea Ventures) has many other kratom brands and products, this was the only one from this company at this store.

Product Administration

I took the entire contents of the bottle within 20 minutes before heading off to the movie theater. I had only eaten a hot dog earlier in the day, roughly several hours before. I also consumed a few handfuls of popcorn and some soda at the theater itself.

Product Effects

I felt this product within 15 minutes of the first few sips. Granted, I was on an empty stomach, but due to my normal intake of kratom and high tolerance, I feel most people would probably feel it in even less time. I do not suggest normal people take the entire bottle at once, but half and wait at least half an hour before taking the rest. The effects are fairly strong, and the taste was fairly reasonable. I felt upbeat, happy, talkative. The only complaint would be it was fairly short lived at about 1 hour maximum duration. Obviously, this is unsustainable on a regular basis, but every once in a while, it can provide a fun time.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, for the price you can’t go wrong on this one. The effects were noticeable, substantial, and worth the ten bucks. I had a much better time at the theater than I normally would watching something like “Little Women.” Although, I wanted to chat a lot and I normally hate people who chat in the movies. I would suggest this product for even a seasoned or daily kratom user, and I still believe they would have a great time. It’s harder to find it in person, but a comparative product called “Super K” is available on their website, however, I found MIT 45 far better. LegalHighShop.com sells the MIT 45 option, however, it has taken me forever to get their products in the mail, sometimes even having issues with my order. Still, I give this product a 4 star Fat Sammy Review, which is hard to earn!

They offered me a good deal on 3 at once, but the one time price if you get it online is right under twenty bucks The container is a little more high quality than a 5 hour energy drink bottle. This is a liquid extract, which is a concentrated form of kratom. The company itself looks legit, but this is my first experience with them. I might try their kratom powder as well (non-extracted), so stay tuned for more write ups.

Product Administration

I drank the entire contents of one bottle on an empty stomach. My friends and I then went out to dinner. After consuming a steak, some mashed potatoes, and broccoli, I chose to take a second bottle. That would be about 2 hours later. I then consumed the third and final bottle I purchased towards the end of the night. Altogether, I drank 30 ml (3 bottles) throughout the course of 4-5 hours.

Product Effects

The first bottle began to “kick on” in terms of effects within 20 minutes. It lasted about an hour and thus, I decided to consume the second bottle. The second bottle allowed me about another hour of effects. And finally the third bottle would reveal more effects which carried me through the end of the evening. The effects included pain relief, stress relief, focus, empathy, talkativeness, and overall relaxation. A lot of things were funny, which is typical of a good kratom high.

Final Thoughts

Although kratom is always a pretty reasonable high, some kratom brands are more effective than others. Kratom Crazy has offered a really outstanding kratom extract in a liquid form. The 10 ml bottle is perfect and the effects are most certainly authentic. I was able to ride the pleasant effects all evening, by consuming the rest of my bottles as well. The only real downside is the price. $18.99 is a lot to pay for just one bottle that lasts only 1-2 hours. However, it is one of the more effective kratom products. And the company appears to offer reputable manufacturing. I can confidently award Kratom Crazy’s Ultra Hush Kratom Shot a 4 Star FAT SAMMY Rating.

Despite this product having been sold direct online, I only found mine locally (as it seems they aren’t currently taking credit cards online or something). Still, the bottle was in my local head shop and they only carried the 4 ouncers. Although the internet price is $28.99, I paid a little more in the local store (about $45.00). Looks and feels pretty much like a medicine cough syrup bottle. Everything looks legit on it except the label that says “ACTRIGHT SIZZURP” instead of “DIMATAPP.” I would say I’m joking, however, very sincerely it looks pretty much like a bottle of Dimatapp or codeine. The ingredients state a number of ingredients. 5-HTP, Melatonin, L-Theanine, and GABA. Plus a little bit of sugar. 5-HTP and GABA, L-Theanine, these kinds of herbal highs are legit, and can truly simulate real codeine when properly done, so I went into this one a little excited.

Product Administration

The serving sizes are supposed to be 1 ounce. You basically mix it into a soda like you would codeine (to make a lean – like drink). Or, if you prefer and are a true original gangster (like myself), you just down a quarter of the bottle and wipe your smile. I tried this product on an empty stomach because I wanted to give it the best chance of working fastest and most effectively. I drank 1 ounce and waited 30 minutes, then drank another ounce. I then consumed the final two ounces within a 7 hour period. Be advised: it does not taste very good and the taste will linger. Even having a drink to wash it down will not help. You basically have to brush your teeth afterwards, and even then I still kept tasting it for hours. That part was widely unpleasant and I do not believe mixing it into soda would help much.

Product Effects

Actstraight Sizzurp is one of those “legal lean” supplements that attempts to simulate the codeine high from mixing codeine cough syrup and soda. I believe since I skipped the soda part and consumed the liquid on an empty stomach, I sped up how quickly it could have an impact. Before 15 minutes after the first swig I began to feel it. A relaxation, a light euphoria and a little dizzy. The euphoria was very brief, less than 15 minutes (which is why I took another ounce at the thirty minute mark). The second ounce seemed to do it and woke the euphoria back up a bit. It only lasted about 20-25 minutes. I still felt a little drunk, a little wobbly, and very relaxed though for several hours afterwards. I took another swig about 3-4 hours later…and I took the last swig about 7 hours in. Honestly I felt pretty relaxed the entire rest of the day and I slept like a baby. I do not remember any of my dreams, but I have the feeling they were pleasant. I did not wake up in my sleep as I usually do from pains and whatnot. Instead, I slept straight through the night and woke up feeling pretty refreshed the next day (which surprised me as well, as I thought I’d have a pseudo-hangover of some kind.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, what really brings this product down is the price. Even if I only had to pay $28.99 for it (and skipped buying it through a retail environment) it would still feel like it was too expensive. $30.00 a day for a 10 hour “high” is too expensive for most people and it’s definitely too expensive for me. It would make an okay compliment to an awesome party night, but I think I’d still want to drink, or involve some kind of other drug of recreation. Still, in terms of legal highs, this is a really good one and it actually works. The only thing I can think of that uses 5-HTP and L-Theanine together better than this is Pirate Chill (which is why this product is a 4 star instead of a 5 star – because taking the pirate chill in form of pills is much better than taking a liquid that costs too much). So for its class of an anxiety-relief, relaxation formula, and also the fact it is competing with the “legal lean” products, it receives a well deserved 4 Star Fat Sammy Rating.
